It's hard to let someone get close to you when life has been hard for you.
All of us have experienced setbacks, but not all of us have figuratively died a few times in one lifetime.
Not many will understand this kind of pain.
Opening up means giving someone a piece of your soul, which is extremely fearful.
I feel like falling in love feels like giving someone a gun pointed at my heart and taking the risk in believing they won't pull the trigger.
It takes someone extraordinary to understand and hold your heart.
