[PREVIOUSLY ON "Cliffside Chaos". . .]
"Wow, I'm somewhat good at this." John cheerfully comments about this, celebrating. He goes to high five someone out of habit from his old occupation before he was thrown out, but seeing as they aren't with him, he is left hanging.
"Who did you want to high five?" Luckie asks confusedly.
"I'm not sure, it was someone I knew a while ago." John replies to Luckie. "Now what?" He asks her once more.
"Probably finding some clothes for you." Luckie replies to John.
[THE PRESENT, IN THE SHED]
The chapter opens on John and Luckie's projection inside the shed, talking to each other about where to find clothes.
"Where are we supposed to find clothes in this sandy wasteland we call home?" John asks, his tone full of worry. He is right to be worried due to the sand that probably can turn him into a metal skeleton.
"May-be we can start looking around for places with clothes." Luckie replies with hope in her tone. She stretches a bit despite not needing to actually stretch.
"Sounds like a plan." John replies to Luckie as he stands up, and stretches. He walks to the door, ready to go out.
The duo leave the shed, John noticing a relic car off in the distance in the Scrapyard.
[Timeskip, about one hour]
[LOCATION: DALLAS PD BUILDING]
The scene reopens with John and Luckie's projection looking at the police station. It is in a relatively good condition despite being in the apocalypse.
"Well, time to see what we can find." John said as he stares at the station, before entering the building.
The duo start looking for clothes, John finding some pristine parts of what appears to be a JCJenson Disassembly Drone. These are in actuality spare parts for a JCJenson branded Law Enforcement Drone, or LED for most people.
John picks up these parts, and looks to Luckie. "Found some parts from an old LED." He speaks happily. "Could put these to good use." He adds, as he sits down to start the process of changing his parts.
[Time jump, half hour later]
The scene reopens with John testing out his legs and arms. They are slowly changing from the JCJenson type parts to sleek, white A_er_ure S__ence parts in some way.
"Why are your legs changing, Bud-dy?" Luckie asks John confusedly as she points to his arms and legs.
"Huh, didn't notice. Guess its something I'm used to." John replies to Luckie as he watches this happen. "Well, now how do th-?" John asks, before the legs and arms' hydraulics suddenly extend, bringing his silhouette to around six foot two.
"Well, now I look like an adult." John comments as he stares in a broken mirror.
