  I sat on the edge of my boyfriend Matt's bed while he was combing his hair and making sure it looked good (when does it not look good?). Tonight was the night of the Streamy Awards and Cut the Cameras got nominated in the podcast category!! Part of me was proud and excited for us and how far we've come, but I couldn't help but feel like I wasn't wanted there. I mean it was their podcast after all. I was only there because of them. I had a yt channel but it was nowhere close to theirs.

 I tried to talk myself out of it while I got up to grab my dress. We were supposed to wear "formal dress" so I had picked out a gorgeous dress for the night. It was a long deep blue dress. It was silky and had a slit on the left leg. Just enough to keep it classy but still really cute. Matt was wearing a basic black suit with a black undershirt and black tie. I love when he wears all black. Nick and Chris were wearing similar black suits except Nick had a red undershirt and Chris had a light blue undershirt. The layers of my hair were curled just enough, I had done my makeup earlier so I just had to touch up my concealer and I was ready to go.

A black car picked us up and we piled into the car. Me and Matt climbed into the backseat while Nick and Chris sat in the middle row. The driver didn't say a word, he looked like he was straight out of a spy movie. Black sunglasses and earpiece. We kinda giggled about that for a sec but I was suddenly swallowed by a wave of anxiety. One second I will be ok and the next I'm clutching my chest and fiddling with my jewelry trying to regulate my breathing. Matt noticed immediately and grabbed my hand and started tracing shapes on the back of my hand as a distraction. He did that for the entire car ride making sure I want left completely alone with my thoughts.

We pulled into the backlot for the Streamys and my breathing started getting shaky. Matt grabbed my other hand and turned to face me.   He could see that my face was flushed and my eyes were glossy. "Hey," he said in a soft tone. " I know your worried but trust me, they love you, I love you" .

He helped me fix my breathing, I took one final deep breath before he opened the door for us. "I'll be with you the whole time pretty girl" he kissed me on the forehead as he helped me out of the car. I noticed some cameras in the distance but we already announced that me and Matt have been dating , we've been together for a year and a half but we announced it a few months back. I got some hate but I tried to ignore it the best I could.

  I just hoped that tonight would go well. We walked in and then it was time for the red carpet walks. Me and Matt stayed close together until a photographer yelled at me out of nowhere, "Y/N can you move we want pictures of Matt Nick and Chris not you hon". I froze, Matt didn't leave my side. He walked a bit closer to the photographer, "Y/N is my girlfriend and if you wanted individual photos you should've just asked instead of heckling her for no reason." I felt really proud that Matt stood up for me.  Suddenly the other photographers started taking Matt's side and eventually the photographer who yelled at me was removed from the venue.

 Matt walked back over to me with a small smile, " They love you, he was just a old man looking for someone to pick on. Don't worry about his stupid opinion baby:)" he said with a smile. "Thanks for standing up for me Matt, I am so glad I have you in my life lovey." I said with a genuine smile planted on my face. "I will always be by your side y/n. I love you". I could tell he was genuine, you can't fake this type of love. "I love you more matt".

   After we finished up the red carpet the other awards were announced and hearing our names when they were listing off nominees felt so surreal. 

"Nd the winner for the 2023 podcast of the year is........ Cut The Cameras by The Sturniolo Triplets!!

"OH MY FUCK" Nick yelled. As we walked up to collect the award. At first I was hesitant to walk up with them until Matt grabbed my hand and helped me up. "You deserve this as much as anyone of us, we wouldn't have been able to make this happen if it weren't for your support. Now let's go get that damn plaque!". 

All four of us walked up the stage and nick grabbed the microphone and started thanking the announcers, " but most of all I need to thank the genius behind most of our podcast topics y/n y/l/n!!! We truly wouldn't be here without her. Love ya y/n" . The crowd started cheering for all of us and it was really a surreal feeling for us all. 

  We didn't want to go to any after parties so we made our own, we ate some Ben n Jerry's and watched a movie to end the night.
