Good "friends" // Colby Brock Fanfic

Meet up

AN: First real story that I'm actually determined to write, so I hope you enjoy!! By the way, this first chapter is more context and kind of just meeting characters so not so much Colby and Y/N "love", but wait for the next chapter. 

Third Person:

As an adult in school, you might hate it and just not want to go- you know, like just sleep the day away instead. That is what Y/N loved to do; she'd always just sleep the full day when she felt like it. I mean, she was an adult, a senior in high school, who would want to stay? Today was going to be a repeat of just sleeping in, but since Colby and Sam wanted to skip and hang out with her during lunch, she couldn't do that. So, after Y/N's 5th alarm going off, making it be 9:30 AM, her eyes slowly fluttered open and she immediately felt completely drained. 

Sitting up in bed, her head began to pound and she wanted to just fall back to sleep, but for Sam and Colby she couldn't. Because of the drowsiness and headache, she dragged herself downstairs to go and grab a cup of coffee before actually getting ready for the day. Once she had a few sips of coffee, she was ready to start the day finally.

Going back upstairs into her room, it felt like a sigh of relief to have coffee and listen to the birds chirping outside in her perspective. Really listening, it wasn't just the birds chirping, it was vehicles going pass the house, dogs around the neighborhood barking back at each other, that one neighbor who is just loud for no reason, and that stupid alarm still going off. Turning the alarm off, NOW she was ready to start the day.

Y/N went into her walk in closet, grabbed a black tank top with a pair of sweatpants, put them on, and decided that that was all she was going to wear. Yes, no jewelry like usual, just a basic black tank top with plain sweatpants. Then going to her bathroom to do her hair, she only wet, detangled, and left it down. Finally, she headed downstairs, her coffee already almost gone. 

As a coffee addict, as soon as she got downstairs, she had made herself another cup of coffee. Taking her coffee and sitting on the couch, she turned on the tv but just to go on her phone and check it. "17 messages from COLE MASTER" she read before opening the messages and seeing a shit ton of "HEY Y/N YOU HERE?" Then it hit her, the hangout, the reason why she woke up this morning, was literally supposed to happen in about an hour. 

Once the realization hit her, she got up, grabbed her keys, and got in the car. The radio automatically played the song "Vegas by Doja Cat", in which she left the radio on to play the song. Then as she was pulling out of the driveway, she had realized that she hadn't put makeup on nor ate yet, so she decided to go to Holiday before hanging out with the two boys. At Holiday, she put mascara and black pencil eyeliner on, then got a bag full of snacks for the three of them. 

After 10 minutes, she had FINALLY made it to her school; "The Hell Hole" she named it. The reason for that names was because of the background of the school and how uncaring all the adults teaching were. "Can I go to the bathroom? I just got my period." "Miss, can I go to the nurse? I just threw up on your desk." "Mr, can I go home now? I already missed my bus because of your stupidly long lecture." You want to know the answer the teachers would give in that situation? "No." Just for that, it was the reason for the nickname "The Hell Hole". 

Going in, she checked the time and saw it was around 10 minutes before lunch started, so she decided to instantly  turn back and wait for the boys to just knock on the car window as a signal to let them in and when the hangout started. Though, only after 3 minutes, Colby came up to the car and knocked on the window. Surprised, she let him into the car, but immediately asked, "Where's Sam? Also why are you early?" Colby scoffed at the mention of Sam's name, which usually didn't happen unless he canceled something last second, and he did. "He ditched us for that 'Kat' girl." Colby said, rolling his eyes. She sighed in response, a little annoyed at Sam's decision but not at Kat. Y/N and Kat were inseparable besties, talking about EVERYTHING together, hanging out almost every weekend, calling just for the company but not talking, literally glued type sisters. 

"Well, it's just us I guess... Horror movie hang out?" Y/N asked, making Colby immediately say yes. Driving back to her house, she could weirdly feel Colby's gaze on her that never left until she pulled into the driveway. It was weird since he has never done that to any girl, or at least that's what she thought. Though, the gaze came back as they both got into her house, so she looked back at him and that made him instantly  turn his head away. Suspicious, she asked, "Why do you keep looking at me? You ok?" Colby seemed to play dumb, disregarding the questions, and changed the subject by asking, "So where are we watching movies?" She still had some suspicion, but decided to shrug it off for now and tell him that they were watching them in her room. 

"Wow, I've never actually been in your room before. This is so awesome dude!" was what Colby first said as they got to Y/N's room. She rolled her eyes and sat on her bed, saying, "It's not THAT awesome." He rolled his eyes back at her then went to lay down on the other side of the bed from where she sat. Grabbing the remote and handing it to Colby so he could pick the movie, she laid next to him, facing opposite of him. She felt tired once again like this morning, the coffee barely helped her so she still was completely drained. Colby seemed to notice and said, "You know, you could sleep and I'll just watch the movie." Y/N immediately agreed and got comfortable on her side of the bed, making her instantly fall asleep.

Welp- 1130 words for this part😓. Please tell me off there's anything I can change about my writing or anything to make it better! It's great to get feedback in my personally opinion. Also get ready for Colby's perspective next chapter.
