Looking into the distance, Lucia stood on the aft deck of the Cadoc. The endless expanse of the azure sea stretched before her. The sky was also blue today and small clouds like cotton wool could be seen scattered everywhere.
Normally Lucia would have been happy about the weather, but today they wanted to capture the Benjioro. The Benjioro was the flagship of an enemy fleet called Aria led by General Curt the One-Armed.
Curt has always been Lucia's father's archenemy. Her father led the 9th Star fleet, whose flagship, the Universa, was sunk by Curt three months ago.
Since then, they have been trying to find the Benjioro to get back at the enemy fleet. And today was the day. But the weather didn't cooperate. They would have needed an overcast sky and light rain or fog to be visible just shortly before atacking. That would have been useful.
However, her father seemed to have a plan.
Lucia adored her father, as did all members of the 9th Star Fleet. He had already brought them many victories. One day she wanted to be a famous captain and sail the world's oceans in her own ship.
Her gaze turned to the sky and she saw the white sails of the Cadoc with nine stars emblazoned on them. The symbol of 9th Star Fleet.
Suddenly there was an exclamation "Ship ahead!"
Curses could be heard from the other people on the ship. They wanted to remain unnoticed and surprise the Benjioro. But something or someone had betrayed them.
"Don't hesitate. Full steam ahead!" , the helmsman, whose graying hair was tousled by the wind, shouted.
Then oars shot out from the sides of the ship. 'They look like the legs of an insect,' Lucia thought. A drum sounded and set the rhythm of the rowers. Their other ships behind them also began to accelerate.
The wind began to pull harder on her cloak and she narrowed her eyes. The biting cold air forced her to put on her hood.
But it didn't bother her too much. After all, she was used to it.
Lucia got going and ran to her father, who was standing on the starboard side looking down at the oars.
"So, do you think we'll be able to do it?"
Her father turned his stormy gray eyes on her: "Who knows? Maybe yes, maybe no. But I have a plan that Curt won't expect. Believe me, he'll be furious!"
A grin crept onto his face at the idea. Lucia just nodded and looked over at the enemy fleet.
They will see what the 9th Star can do.

Hi! So, this was actually a lot harder to write than I first thought and I'm not that satisfied with it. But I don't know what to change, so I'll keep it like this. I hope you are still able to enjoy this whole situation of a story:)
