You awake in an eerily bright place in a panic, "Wh-where am I?!" You exclaimed as you frantically looked around. You noted that you were most likely in a circus tent due to all the bright stripes and colors, however, you also notice your hands look... different. A voice peers in from behind you, "Caine. How many more times are we gonna do this?" The voice asks out loud. You turn around and look slightly up at the purple bunny with a creepy smile that stared right back at you. "...Ok." You mumble and look away from the bunny to ponder for a moment. "You know, you do really well for someone who's permanently sucked into a virtual world." The bunny speaks up in a cocky manner. You turn back to him, "I'm sorry. 'Permanently'?" You asked with a flat tone, though your near identity crisis was cut short by an overly confident voice.
"Well, what's this? Another human?" You look and see a pair of... teeth and eyes in a suit floating in the air looking curiously at you. You sweat, "I think I'm going insane." The pair of teeth comes closer to you and does a twirl, "Well that'd certainly be most unpreferred! Anyway, my name is Caine! And I am your ringmaster, soooo get ready for the most heart stopping, jaw dropping, adventures of your life!" Caine speaks loudly, hurting your ears.
"So dear human, do you remember your name?" Caine asks you excitedly. You look to the ground and groan, "...No. I can't remember a thing." You grumbled and slouched. The purple bunny laughs, "Hmhm, don't worry sweetheart, it happens to all of us." The bunny looks at his gloves in a sassy demeanor, you scoff. Something about the guy just ticked you off.
Though you notice another few figures come up from behind the bunny guy, a rag doll, a thing made of ribbon, a chess piece with boggling eyes, and... what even is that? You look at them curiously, the bunny guy notices your expression and turns around. The rag doll speaks, "Jax, are you messing with another newcomer? How many times do I have to tell you not to do that!" You look back at the bunny guy, "Jax... huh." Jax puts his hands up, "Woah woah, now let's not get ahead of ourselves here. I just got here. I'll do the messing around *later*." He smirks and looks back at you, looking you up and down.
The rag doll frowns at Jax but then looks back at you with a smile, "Sorry about that guy, my name is Ragatha." She walks up to you with a warm smile. The other objects behind the doll also come up, the ribbon fellow awkwardly waves. "I'm Gangle, and..." Gangle pauses and looks at the chess piece guy next to her, the guy stares at her for a good five seconds.
"AHHH!" The chess piece randomly screams, you jump at the loud screech and cover your ears. The chess piece then looks at Gangle, "Oh it's just you Gangle." Gangle shakes, "A-anyway, and this is Kinger." Kinger looks at you and waves. You awkwardly wave back and sweat. Though you also know there's one last object, the one with random shapes. You curiously look at them, they notice your gaze and roll their eyes. "Zooble." Zooble boldy spoke. You nod and look back at Caine.
Caine spins his cane and floats over to you, "Anyway! You said you don't remember your name? Well how about we give you one! Any ideas?" Caine asks you. You ponder for a moment before speaking up, "... how about Y/N?" Caine nods, "Very well then! Welcome Y/N to The Amazing Digital Circus! Unfortunately I have a dinner reservation with Bubble so I won't be able to make an adventure in due time for your arrival!" After Caine had said that, a bubble with sharp popped up next to him and looked at you.
After an awkward silence Caine wraps up his introduction. "Well then, it seems like I'm done here! See you!" And then he suddenly disappeared along with 'Bubble'. "Huh." You mumble before looking back at your new body. Ragatha comes up next to you and pats your shoulder, "You must be tired, how about I show you to your room?" You look at her with tired eyes and respond, "Yes, please." She smiles and starts walking with you following her... and Jax following close behind.
Ragatha talks to the both of you guys as y'all walked down an extremely long hallway full of doors with pictures of what assumed were other people. You noticed the familiar faces of doors that you had previously met and sigh. "So, how long have you guys been here?" You ask the two, Ragatha recognizes your question and answers, "Well I've been here a few years. Actually, I think everyone here has been here for a year or so." Ragatha then looks back at Jax whom was staring at walls as we walked. "Wait, Jax, why are you even here with us? Don't you have somewhere better to be?" Ragatha asked in a passive aggressive tone.
Jax smirks back at her, "Well Dollface, I'm just bored. Can't a poor little fellow just entertain himself by being with his friends?" He eyes both you and Ragatha, Ragatha scoffs. "I wouldn't say we're friends." You raise a brow and avert your gaze to Jax who was already looking at you. "You think I'm a friend?" You ask, Jax laughs. "No, of course not. Why would I ever admit to that?" Jax throws up his arms behind his head, Ragatha rolls her eyes. "Sorry about Jax, Y/N. Just ignore him."
Jax snickers before pointing to your left, "Hey sweetheart don't ya think this looks like you?" You and Ragatha look to where he was pointing and see the door that had your portrait on it. "I don't know, it probably looks like me!" You say sarcastically and walk up to the door. Ragatha follows you, "It should be unlocked?" She says. You turn the knob but it seems jammed, you look back at her. "Nope, it's locked." Ragatha frowns but notices Jax's mischievous look. "Jax, don't tell me you have their key. It hasn't even been an hour!" Ragatha facepalms as Jax takes out a ring of keys from behind him. "Well cutie, it seems you're in luck. I do have your key." He pushes Ragatha to the side but barely nudges you. You look at him confused and then notice he's been calling you nicknames the whole time. "...you do know I have a name, right?" You ask, Jax laughs as he fondles with your doorknob.
"Well it won't really matter once you're mine, right?" He looks back at you with that same old cocky smile. You blush a bit, "Well...!" You say not knowing how to respond. Ragatha furrows her eyebrows. "Jax! Back off of them! They *just* got here!" She says lightly punching his arm as he got back up from crouching. "Alright, alright, anyway, I got your door unlocked." He said looking back at you. You nod and walk into your room turning back around to look at Ragatha and Jax.
"Well Y/N, I'll leave you to rest now, I'll see you later!" She said waving goodbye as she walked away leaving Jax behind. He looks at you, "Well I *guess* I'll let sleeping beauty get their beauty sleep." He waved at you and also walked away, leaving you with butterflies fluttering in your heart.
You sigh before closing the door and crashing out on your bed...
