Continuation from chapter 1

"Wow," Nicholas thought to himself, "that sounds like the nickname Taylor used to give me." But suddenly, without hesitation, he blurted out, "Do you happen to know Nick's full name? Maybe I know him."
The boy looked back up at Nicholas, his curiosity evident. The boy couldn't help but be a bit puzzled about why he was so invested in this guy named Nick, but he chuckled and handed over the rest of Nicholas's books back to him. With a slight smile, he said, "I've never been asked this question before, but his full name is Nicholas Galitzine. Do you happen to know him?"
Nicholas's eyes widened with excitement and surprise, his emotions running wild. He tried to maintain his composure, not wanting to scare anyone away. "Nicholas Galitzine?" he exclaimed, his heart racing.

The boy's curiosity grew as he wondered why Nicholas's eyes had suddenly widened, and he seemed nervous. He couldn't help himself and asked, "So, do you know him by any chance?"
Nicholas snapped back to reality, realizing he wasn't in a dream, though it still felt dreamlike. A whirlwind of thoughts raced through his mind. Is this Taylor? How does he know me? Is this boy messing around, or perhaps he knows Taylor, which is why he's doing this?
The boy stood there patiently, waiting for Nicholas's response. After what felt like an eternity, a long ten-second pause, Nicholas finally answered, "No, I don't know him. Sorry."
A heavy sigh escaped the boy. "Well, that's okay," he replied. "Didn't really expect you to know him anyway and plus there's so many people name, Nicholas in London. I'm Taylor, by the way." He extended his hand for a shake. "Nice to meet you."
Nicholas shook Taylor's hand warmly and replied, "Nice to meet you too, Taylor." As soon as the handshake was over, Taylor continued the conversation. "I have to go now, I have football practice, but see you around, Nicholas."

After the most hectic first day of school Nicholas trudged wearily through the front door, his backpack slung over one shoulder, and a look of exhaustion etched across his face. It had been a long day, his very first day at a high school and don't forget to mention the fact that it's a whole bloody different country
The classes were a whirlwind of introductions, new teachers, and assignments that left his head spinning. The classes had felt like a whirlwind of introductions, new teachers, and assignments that left his head spinning.
As he dropped his backpack onto the floor, Nicholas flopped onto the couch, letting out a deep sigh. His mother, who had eagerly been waiting for him, approached with a warm smile. "How was your first day, sweetheart?"
Nicholas rubbed his tired eyes and replied, "It was... a lot to take in, Mum."
While saying this, Nicholas couldn't help but think about how he had unexpectedly met Taylor again for the first time in years. Taylor looked so different now. Nicholas mused to himself about all the times Taylor used to visit London, and they would stay up late at night during Christmas Eve on the sofa, sipping hot chocolate together, trying not to wake anyone up while playing video games all night long.
"Nicholas, are you alright his mum says you seem a bit out of it" Nicholas once again snaps back to reality and tells his mum the rest of his day without mentioning Taylor.
