Harvey kicked off his shoes flopping down on the queen sized bed by the window. It had a small ledge perfect for reading and writing. Elizabeth rolled his eyes rolling her bag in after him. She put it on the stretcher and opened it out starting to put her clothes away.
"You better not keep the room a mess like it was when we were in summer camp."
Harvey was making angels on the bed like a dog rolling in freshly fallen powdered snow. He sat up his brown hair with purple streaks a mess.
"You got it mam." He took out a cigarette but before he could light it Elizabeth smacked it to the ground.
"No smoking in the hotel room."
Harvey grumbled flicking the lighter on amway, watching it flicker. A closed it a few seconds later putting it on the side table. He heard a door open next door and soon Lemon and Lime appeared. You could spot them from a mile away. Lemon's hair was as yellow as sunshine and Lime was a deep brown with neon green undertones. Lemon wore a yellow skirt with a white shirt and yellow suspenders meanwhile lime were lose fitting black jeans with a forest green shirt. They were exact opposites but were somehow still picked from the same vine. They were both chubby however Lime was on the taller side. They've been dating for almost a full year now and this vacation was celebrating it.
"Anyone have a lighter?" Lemon pipped in being a heavy smoker and drinker even though he was only 20. "Lime forgot to pack it."
"Maybe because you left packing to the morning off and was rushing me out the door."
"Yeah whatever. Sounds like just talk."
Lime lightly shoved him not enough to knock the 5'3 boy over.
"I have one but the boss says we can't smoke in here."
"Lame Lize." Lemon pouted flopping down next to Harvey. They have been friends for six years.
"I'm sorry as your friend I can't let you do that. I've known you for six years and Harvey since he was thirteen and I was twelve."
Lemon rolled his eyes getting up and pulling Harvey to his feet.
"Come on let's go explore the woods. I'm bored."
Harvey chuckled putting the unlit cigarette in his mouth taking his hand while Lime took his other.
"Coming Lize?"
"No you three go. I'm going to unpack and unwind."
Harvey winked and they were out the door in a flash.
The air was chilly as the three started on the walking trail. Harvey pulled his purple sweater closer to his body. He was wearing fishnets, a red skirt, and a purple top that said don't read the next sentence followed underneath in smaller print you little rebel. The look was complete with black combat boots with little ghosts on them, black cat earings, and a blood choker. He said he keeps the blood of his enemies in there but in reality he bought it off a costume designer for seven dollars. A leaf fell down landing in Harvey's dark slightly curly hair. Lemon plucked it off blowing it away watching the wind pick and sweep it off. They walked in silence, the three of them, hand in hand till Lemon stopped abruptly. Right in front of them was a large treehouse with a rotting wooden ladder. He began to climb it holding tightly to the splintering wood thankful for his fluffy yellow gloves. Harvey and Lime looked at each other and shrugged, before quickly following after him. The treehouse was long abandoned filled with clusters of fallen leaves and acorns. A tiny table in chair was set in the corner. Harvey inspected it.
"My grandpa loved wood working. These look homemade."
Lime nodded. "They definitely need some sandpaper. I wouldn't sit on it Lemon. I'm not taking splitters out of your ass... again."
