Twin Things

Chapter 2

It wasn't until breakfast the next day that Nina had a chance to fill Vivian in on what had happened.

"So you found the book." Vivian said, thankful that everyone else at the table was too caught up in their own conversations to overhear them.

"Yes, and we completed the puzzle." Nina replied. "It lead us to this weird rubix cube looking thing which we think might be a key."

"Well, is it?"

"We don't know for sure. Fabian tried to open it, but it wouldn't budge."

"Well, let's hope we can get it open soon. You-know-who is not that patient."

Nina nodded in agreement and the two leaned back away from each other as they served themselves some breakfast.

Suddenly, the room fell silent as the new additions to Anubis house entered the room, taking a seat at the table.

"Uh, would you like some OJ?" Nina offered as she picked up the jug of juice.

"Finally, someone who speaks English." Eddie said as he accepted the offer, pouring himself a glass.

"You're the best thing we've heard since we got here." Evan flirted and Fabian choked on his food as Patricia cringed.

"When did you get here?" Fabian asked. "I got a shock when I woke up this morning saw you two in the room."

"I can imagine." Patricia commented and Vivian held back a laugh as Joy gave the redhead a light slap.

"Yesterday. We had the pleasure of meeting Yacker and Tiny here." Eddie said, gesturing to Patricia and Vivian.

"Speaking of which, who do we have here?" Evan questioned the rest of the girls at the table.

They all spoke at once, telling him their names.

"Hey, I'm Eddie." The blonde twin introduced himself.

"And as you can probably tell, I'm his better looking twin brother, Evan" The brunette twin also introduced himself, his brother laughing lightly at his looks comment. "Nobody told me English girls here are so cute."

The girls, aside from Vivian and Patricia, all seemed to blush at the compliment.

Alfie passed Amber some food and made it obvious to the twins that she was taken through a hard look, Jerome also subtly throwing an arm around the back of Lillian's chair, causing her to smirk in amusement at the possessive action which was obviously done out of jealousy.

"So, what made you two change schools?" Nina questioned and Vivian raised a brow.

It was obvious to her that her interest in the American twins was an attempt to make Fabian jealous.

"Uh, where do we begin?" Evan asked his brother.

"Well, we got into some fights, and then flunked our classes." Eddie began.

"And then the principal hated me 'cause I said his daughter was cute, but she totally was." Evan continued.

"Couldn't you have done us all a favour and gone to another school in the State?" Patricia spat, before walking out.

"Patricia!" Joy scolded the girl.

Joy shared a look with Vivian and Vivian sighed with a shake of her head, before getting up and walking out of the room.

"I trust the two of you slept well?" Vivian heard Victor ask as she came down the stairs to see him speaking to the male set of twins.
