(Y/n's P.O.V.)

??? 1: You're joking, right?

Y/n: Nope! It came in!

??? 2: How the heck did you manage to score one? I thought they were only doing public releases.

Y/n: Not necessarily. There are about 200,000 Nerve Gears in circulation. I just gotta score a copy of Sword Art Online.

??? 1: And how are you planning that?

Y/n: Did you idiots forget where my sister is working?

I smirk at my two friends while seated outside, eating our lunch. The first one Riku had told us about the game Sword Art Online months ago, and we would continually look at reviews from the Beta Testers online. Aoto, my second friend, talked about how he would score the hardware and game and tell us how the game was. That, of course, only made me determined to beat any of them to it.

Y/n: She scored me a copy. Her boss let her snag a copy of it that wasn't pre-ordered. In other words...

Aoto: You...

I looked at Aoto, who was visibly shaking, but it wasn't just him. Riku was also shaking.

Riku: BASTARD!

They practically tackled me, and what little was left of my lunch was thrown across the ground. The others walking around on their break or eating outside were watching us.

Y/n: What the hell, you two?!

Riku: Don't "What the hell, you two" us!

Aoto: How could you betray us like this?!

Y/n: I didn't betray you! You told me about a game, and I got it! You two should hop on the train before the hardware and game is sold out!

Both practically growled at me before grabbing their phones and calling their parents. Oh, I should mention they're twins. When we were kids, these two used to pull pranks on me about who was who. Now, I've gotten used to it and learned slight mannerisms to differentiate them. Teachers and other kids haven't been so lucky. They were both yelling at their parents, trying to score at least one Nerve Gear, but judging by their conversations and the look on their faces, they weren't so lucky.

Y/n: No luck, huh?

Riku: How were you so lucky when both our parents said hell no?

Aoto: Seriously! I thought they loved us!

Y/n: I mean, it wasn't cheap. My parents said if they got this, then I had to ace the exams and test into an academy in Setagaya, which is stupid and crazy to get into.

Aoto: Setagaya?

Riku: They want you to go to school with those rich posh people?

Y/n: Yeah. It's lame, but I'll do it if it scores me a Nerve Gear and SAO.

I got off the ground and dusted off my uniform, worried my homeroom teacher or even the class president would say something.

Aoto: Do they want you to be some kind of politician or doctor or something?

Y/n: Would you want your kid to have the best job they can? They tried with my sister, and she is going into game design. They aren't necessarily happy with that, but they aren't complaining.

Aoto: So they're pushing their wants onto you?

Y/n: Don't your parents?

Riku: Er-.

I chuckle and nod. I know exactly what their parents want them to be, as well as what the two want to be. When the bell rang, the three of us groaned and cleaned up our mess before heading to class. Nobody acknowledged us, but we were used to it. We were in our little circle, and nobody liked talking to us, although we scored reasonably well. "Perks of being gamers in a rich bitch school," as Riku always said. He was right, though. Private Schools are always like this. Even as kids, we stuck out because we never had the nicest school supplies.
