chapter 4: growing up normal-ish?

3rd person's pov

life for a long time was hard for illia but thanks to her uncles, things were easier to deal with, but even though illia was put into a rich home, john and kenny could see that illia felt very out of place there, maggie and troy decided it would be best if illia was to go to school, meet new kids, have friends, john hated the idea but kenny thought it would be best for the child, maggie would also encourage illia to be more open minded and possitive, she tried to be but it was hard for her, her first day of school was uh interesting......
~first day of school~

illia had went with maggie to the school introducing herself as illia's mother, illia frowned not liking that, she was put into kindergarden since she was only 5 years old, she tried making friends but no one liked her, she kept mostly to herself, for 5 years she had no friends, eventually she gave up ever seeing her old family again, then in 4rth grade she met her first friend, one day a new kid joined the class, he was skinny and had blond hair but what was the most interesting was his purple eyes! the girls in the class seemed to like him, his name was Andrew Van Roy, the boy's eyes looked threw the class till they landed on illia and a huge smile appeared on his face, illia thought he was familiar somehow but could not point it out, Andrew sat by illia and his smile never went away.

Andrew: ive finally found you illia
illia: uh what? who are you?
Andrew: wha? you dont remember me? we met in a forest........

illia shook her head no, she really had no idea who he was, andrew frowned some but then his smile came back and he said: "well then! lets be friends!", illia blinked but smiled, she had a friend, they spent the day talking and illia laughed at andrew's jokes, andrew thought it was weird that illia had no memory of him though, he shrugged it off though, he was worried about illia's father though, and why was she here in america and not in the U.K.? (redgrave city is located in england), so many questions went threw his head, questions that would have to wait, illia had noticed girls looking at andrew and giggling some from liking him, after school andrew had insisted on walking with illia home, wanting to know were she lived, he was shocked to see that she lives in the largest house in the town, a mansion with large fences around it, there was a gardener tending to the flowers, and two muscular men looking like they were fixing up a car, a chevy, andrew could tell the two men were not entirely human, illia had skipped along to the front gate and walked in and waved at the two men calling them uncles, john and kenny smiled seeing illia but frowned and looked at each other after seeing the boy.
john: hay sweatheart, who is that with you?
illia: oh this is my new friend andrew! 
john: oh....
john and kenny knew the boy was trouble but did not want to upset illia so they watched the two carefully for weeks, then one day kenny had left with no word to anyone, not even to john, kenny had found information on illia's family so he left to go find them, this pissed off john a lot, leaving john to deffend the town from demons by himself, in truth they were the town's protectors, john had became angry over the next week drinking a lot, then one day well drunk he decided it would be best if he went looking for his brother, he figured the demon boy andrew would protect illia, so he left, then one day well illia and andrew were walking to illia's home they were attacked by a large demon! andrew managed to deffeat the demon but by that time the entire town was in flames as demons hunted and killed every human, illia had ran to the now ruins of her home, fire and blood was everywhere, illia was scared and tiers ran down her face, then a demon had grabbed her making her scream, andrew ran to save her but another demon had grabbed him and they were both dragged to hell! by the time john found his brother kenny in redgrave city, kenny had found dante and told him about the child, dante was very eager to get his child back so they traveled to america, but by the time they got to the town it was nothing but burnt ash, dead bodies everywhere, john and kenny were wide eyed as they ran to the burnt down mansion seeing the chared bodies of maggie and troy but no sign of illia, Dante was angry, he thought he was finally able to get his child back only for her to be gone again! he left going back home and john and kenny followed dante who told them since there his half brothers then there welcome to live with him and his family as long as they want too, more rooms were added to the devil may cry shop that looked more like a house than a busness.
