albus dumbledore had just revealed the triwizard tournament
"now this tournament has one last major change, a fourth school has also been invited to officiate and act as impartial judge for the tournament, the kōkai academy of japan has been chosen do to it's integrity, as such it shall be doing an impromptu demonstrations of it's capabilities in hopes of potentially recruiting new officers into service, the fleets will be commanded by admiral chisaki igarashi, and cadet hayato ishikawa, who leads the third training fleet, as such please pay them both do respect, the students of kōkai academy do not take disrespect lightly" albus said warningly, before cheering up a moment later
"now the three other schools will be arriving on the thirtieth of october, with that tuck in" albus said ending his speech and initiating the feast
october the thirtieth came quickly, and the students were herded out to watch the arrival of the schools, the first to arrive was beauxbatons, the second was durmstrang, the third and by far the most impressive arrival was kōkai, as the musashi and it's escort floated over the lake with grace and majesty despite being warships, one of the lead ships came to port and unloaded several officers led by a fourteen year old young man and a sixty seven year old woman, both were obviously of asian decent
"cadet ishikawa, admiral igarashi" albus asked, having not met either of them previously, the boy spoke quietly to the admiral in japanese receiving a response he turned his attention to the headmaster
"correct, you will need me or one of my officers around when speaking to the admiral, she can understand english but does not speak it, i will have a translator posted with the admiral at all times she is ashore" i said
"understood, thank you for telling us" albus said
"i am simply doing my duty" i said, as he removed his cap, giving albus a glance at his forehead his eyes widened
"Mr. ishikawa, you wouldn't happen to have any relation to harry james potter" he asked
"it was why i was assigned this mission, yes dumbledore that was why i took off my cap, it's better to rip off the band-aid now then later, i believe the saying is, however i will inform you, harry potter is dead, he died with his parents, i have been blood adopted into the ishikawa family and am it's current head, do not disrespect me by calling me a dead name, and keep this information to yourself, until after the champions for the tournament have been entered" i said
"you believe someone would enter your name" albus asked
"tell me dumbledore, have every single death eater been captured" i asked, he opened his mouth then closed it
"very well, your secret will remain with me" albus said, the admiral nodded and said something in japanese, hayato's response was curt, he seemed unpleased, but the admiral seemed satisfied
"is there something wrong" albus asked
"i was ordered to reveal my identity to you, by the admiral, it was not my personal decision, but when the order was given by the empress herself, i cannot refuse" i said, he nodded
"would your officers like to eat with us" albus asked, hayato looked towards the admiral, who nodded, and said something in japanese
"she says, that would be appreciated, thank you" hayato translated, he nodded
"it would be my pleasure" as he led the officers and his own students back into the academy proper
it was the surprise of no-one of kōkai academy when the name harry potter came from the goblet in fact they all started to laughing
"what is so funny, this is very grave" albus asked
"harry potter is dead, do you not know how blood-bonding works i had to do a lot of paperwork to transfer the potter family vaults to the ishikawa family, but because someone blood-adopted me, i am no longer a potter, harry potter is dead, and it's too late for whoever my would-be assailant is to put my actual name in" i said, with a chuckle, everything went as planned, and now the japanese could do their jobs of officiating the tournament, it was at that moment that mad-eye moody laughed
"i like you boy, constant vigilance" mad-eye said, with another hearty laugh, though inwardly he was seething his master would not be pleased, all their plans to get potter into the tournament up in smoke
"now, don't you have champions to inform" i asked, it was then the admiral spoke up, saying something in japanese, causing hayato to scowl
"as you wish" he said
"it seems i will join you, the admiral decided this would be my first duty in aiding in officiating this tournament" i said, albus nodded and gestured for him to enter
"is there something wrong should we go back out" fleur asked
"nothing of the sort, the judges will be here in a moment to give you your first task, my commanding officer is simply being a pain in the neck like she always is" i said, they nodded as the group entered
"well, with a slight hiccup having been dealt with, let's get to it, the first task is to test your courage in the face of the unknown as such we will not be telling you what it actually is you will be facing" ludo bagman said, i snorted
"then what is the point of us coming in here, you could have said that in front of the great hall, it would have added suspense, champions there is another thing you will have the opportunity to either side with me or with the fifth training fleet for our first annual wargame which will be on the 17th of november you will be welcome aboard either the hyuuga, my personal flagship or the ayanami, the flagship of the fifth training fleet, i should warn you it will likely be just as dangerous as the task itself, when we have our wargames we use live ammunition, anyway, you will be welcome to observe or actively partake under my or cadet ashimura's command, i ask that if you wish to actively participate you give us three days preparation to train you, so you don't make a mockery of our fleet and also so we don't lose because of your ignorance" i said, with a small bow before leaving, as i left the chamber, the admiral rose, as did the cadets, and we walked out of the great hall in standard formation, led by myself and cadet ashimura
"well do you think the champions will sign up" cadet ashimura said in japanese, i scoffed
"the look in the eyes of diggory and krum, we have knew recruits in those two most definitely, now delacour she looked rather lost, i am not sure if she was even listening when i made the offer" i said
"well i look forward to facing the undefeated third fleet in battle" she said, i smiled
"and i look forward to facing the ayanami" i said
"what about the rest of my fleet" she asked, i gave her a look
"you specifically built your fleet out of the schools misfits, i give it five minutes before they break formation" i said
"and how was your fleet formed" she asked
"i did choose the outcasts and misfits, but i also trained them, personally, i made them into what they are, it was why i wanted them, no one else would have them so they listened to me and now we are as close as siblings, brothers and sisters at arms, and have with served them since i entered the academy five years ago, all new recruits are similarly trained, and are similarly familial, since both my families died, my fleet is my family, and i live for my duty, both to my clan and to the navy" i said, she nodded her understanding
