PS: This is a true story based on the Author's life, experiences, and memories.

Have you remembered words that trigger your heart to pieces? I have. It all started when I got the part for the student council.

"Good afternoon students!"

"Here are your newly elected student council officers for the academic year 2016-2017. For your president, we have the winning tally of..." As the moment heated tension rose. My classmates and I were waiting for our batch to win this year's council. Some of us joined and were elected to join as each representative party.

"We have Mr. Villanueva" The host of the event announced. Cheers from corridors, hallways filled the entire gymnasium. As the announcement of officera goes by , the last position to be announced was the last spot for Councilor.

"And we have the last council officer Ms.-" The host paused for a minute. Then I see that my classmates are rooting for me.

"Whooo! Lara! Lara!Lara!"

"We have Ms. Anne as the last officer." My heart began to shrink, and the words that were piercing my ears, hurt. Cheers from outside the gymnasium were heard, and I saw her. The one who I consider my rival, the one who took off my streak of being Top 1 in my Elementary years. 'I can't believe I lost.', that's the first thought that came to my mind. Aubrey, Natalie, and Justine comforted me in a way that I would calm down.

As the event getting ready for the closing remarks, a few council officers and representatives that year, took a look at the final tally and missed something.

"Attention! So we have clarification to announce, the last position for councilor will be going with Ms. Lara with 452 votes while Ms. Anne runs down by 1 point, having 451 votes." My eyes all gleamed up and even my friends congratulated me for that.

...

After a few months of summer, that's when reality starts to hit me.

"Excuse me, sir! May we excuse your class representative and those who are part of the SGB (Student Governing Council) ?" a knock followed by a remark disrupted the class.

"Okay. That is it for today's class. Make sure to turn in your homework to your class president."

It is the last class for the first day of junior high, and I'm in my third year now. The Student Governing Council represents the high school department and organizes events under several extracurricular activities for the entire year.

As for me, I was currently voted last year for the Councilor role in the student council. So I was somehow glad to be in it. It was to enhance my skills in terms of writing, public speaking, and leadership.

"Good day, everyone. I am your adviser for this year's council. You can call me Teacher Marco or Sir Marco. So, for today's agenda, we will focus on each of your assigned tasks."

The meeting started at exactly 3:30 pm since our adviser seemed to run it quickly because he had a meeting to attend. He looked at each one of us to see if we are complete. He looked behind us and saw some of his CAT Officers hanging out in the backroom, which were obviously loud. He shout their names that echoes in our office to scold their loud voices.

The office that we currently stay were also owned by other club members. As you can imagine, this room was like a small house, with approxiamtely two rooms that was made for storage for the music club and the other belong for the dance club. We shared the whole office but the council always uses the conference table for necessary time like this.

"Guys, can you lower your voices? Thank you." Our adviser continued.

"Sir, they wouldn't listen to you. I know you them." Our SGC President stated.
