I woke up to the sound of rain, which is so annoying cause I have to be in school by 8:00am. I stood up from my bed, walked to the bathroom, but before I got to my light switch, something hit my leg, making me yelp" oww" while holding the affected part of my leg and jumping till I fell flat on my back.
I looked up to see a light coming from my bedroom door.. Trying to see who it was, which of course was starting to give me the creeps. I realised it was my very kind and pleasant brother.
"Good morning monkey" Adrian said smiling like an innocent kid which made him look cute- okay no!.
"Aren't you going to school today? You look like a monkey who couldn't get a banana from a baby" he said while laughing at his insult.
I finally got up from the floor and was ready to attack my dear brother back for what he said, but then I'm a sweet and loving sister so I won't do anything.
I just said "that's dumb" but the idiot was still laughing.
Going downstairs, I saw my mother and my brother eating breakfast. My smile dropped
He isn't suppose to be here.
Thinking that, I was about to leave when my mum called me back.
"Sweetie? Won't you join us for breakfast?"my mum said trying to convince me to stay.
"No actually mum, I'm okay. I will get some lunch in school" I said putting on a fake smile.
"Ave why don't you want to eat breakfast with us?" Who does he think he is?
" First of all Mr Bradley, the name's Avery and I already told my mum that I won't be eating " I said about to turn
"What do you mean by that? Don't you have respect for your dad?" My mum scolded
"Dad? Who's my dad? I don't think you know what you're saying, this man here seated with you, left you for a girl young enough to be my sister 3 years and now he's here all of a sudden. I mean, mom, what were you thinking letting this man into this house, having breakfast with you.....you know what, I don't even care." I sighed in frustration.
"I have school and I don't want anything ruining my morning.....so bye" I said, infuriated by just the thought and started walking straight to the door, before anyone could stop me.
As i got outside, the cold water brought me back to reality.
"Fuck!" I exclaimed. Not caring if they heard me or not.
"How do I get to school?" I mumbled to myself. I saw a black Mercedes approaching my house. It must be a billionaire coming to kidnap me.
The car stopped and wait this car looks familiar..........
The car opened itself and I immediately jumped into my defence position.
Yeah I went for taekwando classes
"Hurry up and get in dummy!" Oh it's you
I got in and put on my seat belt.
"Didn't think you'd come back after summer break" I said once I was settled.
"I wasn't. I just thought you might want to see my beautiful face one last time" Derek, my best friend since kindergarten, said.
After last summer, most of Hilberge high had travelled outside the country. Most of them following their dreams. And obviously Derek was part of that group, so I didn't really expect him to resume with the rest of us.
"Ughhhh you're not listening again. I thought you'd leave that behind" he groaned. Well I didn't
"What were you saying ?" I turned my attention to him. He ignored me
"Oh c'mon" I grabbed his hand, slightly pulling it away from the steering wheel.
