Chapter 2: Meeting the shadow

The woods was deep and shaded with trees, bushes and all sorts of plants that the little eliatrope Yugo saw as he went deeper into it "hello!giant genie demon lady! where are you?" He called out as he looked around. That is till he spotted some black substance that splatter small bits of the ground and seemed to lead towards a narrow trail hidden amongst the plant life, Yugo had gotten a curious yet suspicious look on his face as he used his portals to get through it following the trail of the black liquid going down the narrow path. Once at the end of the trail he found a pretty large and deep cave with it being dimly lit which peeked his curiosity as he approached it seeing the dim lights were lanterns with glowing crystals in them , looking forward he called out once more his voice echoing throughout the cave but he didn't hear anything so he went further and further into it, taking a lantern along with him. As he walked deeper into the cave he took notice a slight glowing of sorts besides the lanterns that were strung about the cave,this glow was different colored and…from the ground? This brought Yugos curiosity up making him slowly approach. Getting closer he soon realized that there was a deep hole that was pretty big and the light from it caused him to be able to see the bottom of it, he could see what appeared to be a mixture of gold,silver, Gems and crystals which made Yugo think of how Ruel would react to all of this treasure. Yugo had then hopped down since it wasn't that far of a drop, once down there he could really see how much treasure there really was "woah…now ruel for sure will flip out cause of this." Yugo said quietly to himself as he continued to walk forward while looking around the cave and it's treasure. While looking around he could tell that some of this treasure Came from Kallos village and possibly some other traveler who would come across this place. Suddenly while yugo was lost in his thoughts there was the sound of someone talking which was starting to sound really close,as soon as Yugo heard this he quickly hid behind a giant pile of gold kamas while peeking out a little bit to see who or what it was.

While she roamed around her home,Ink, the hybrid that had attacked the village was talking to herself which sounded like she was planning something for herself to do. However as she was talking to herself she paused mid sentence when she saw what looked like two blue ears poking out front behind a pile of kamas which caused her to get slightly territorial over it,she had pulled out two swords from two separate shadow portals and stood there in a defensive position while her tail twitched angrily "Who's there!?" She called out,her voice echoing slightly due to the cave "you better come out,or else I'll make you come out." She spoke once more giving a slight growl and holding her weapons handles tightly as she patiently waits for whoever was there. Soon the thing that was behind the pile of kamas came out and ink immediately recognized them by the blue hat and there clothing "hey! your that boy from the village that came with that group who fought me!what are you doing here?came to fight me again!?" She said in a slight angry tone while staring daggers at Yugo who put his hands up halfway "hey don't worry! I'm not here to fight you!" He said towards the hybrid who seemed surprised for a split second before shaking there head and had that angry expression again,not letting her guard down for a second, she stood there silently glaring at the boy before speaking"then why ARE you here then?…" Yugo had put his hands down and took a step forward "I just wanted to see if you were okay." Yugo said which almost made ink laugh "ha! Why would you care if I'm okay or not?no one has ever cared a hybrid like me!" She said her voice echoing again. Yugo was silent for a moment before glancing around the cave they were both in before looking back to the hybrid taking notice the bandages on her arm that was cut from dally "how long have you been here?" He asked before hearing her laugh out "what kind of question is that!? It's clear to see that I been here for a long time!" Ink exclaimed with a toothy smile "all alone?" Yugo add which made ink freeze up a little at the mention of the word 'alone' she stood there staring at Yugo with a blank look on her face before she turned away and huffed "what would a foolish idiot like you know anything about being alone? you were with your companions when you came to the village." She said looking away from him "now.. leave me….alone." she said and walked away. Yugo frowned and thought for a moment before chasing after her "but I do know what that's like! before going on my journey with my friends I never knew what I was." He explained which caused ink to stop in her tracks,she was still looking away but it was clear she was listening as Yugo continued "before my adventure I never knew what I was,I knew what other people where cause my dad Alibert taught me. Sure it did feel a little lonely…but the friends I made caused the feeling to go away!and it made me felt like I belonged!" With Yugos words ink turned her head slightly to glance at him,it just looked like she was glaring at him but deep down she was honestly surprised someone felt a similar way she does. Yugo looked at her and gave a slight smile"so.. what's your name?my name is Yugo." He said while holding out a hand to the hybrid for her to shake his hand"mmm…." Ink would say as she stood there staring at Yugo squinting her eyes a little, soon she had held up one of swords and flipped it to where she was now holding onto the blade and lowered the handle part towards Yugos hand so he could shake the handle instead of her hand "....Ink." she spoke as yugo held his smile and shook the handle "nice to meet you Ink!" He said before pulling away and ink had done the same "sooo..if I may ask,why is there a sign that says 'no hybrids' ?" Yugo asked ink who sighed in slight annoyance "what do you think? there scared of hybrids." Ink explained before sitting down on a pile of kamas as the two swords disappear "all that stupid village thinks is that hybrids are nothing but scary dangerous monsters!" She said her tone growing angry at the mention of the words but soon the anger had fizzled away as she looked at the ground with a slight saddened look "...but they don't even try to befriend them…they fear them before they get to know them…" ink said as she fell silent. Yugo frowned upon hearing this "well…I don't think you're scary." Yugo said but Ink rolled her eyes "that's because I'm not terrorizing you or the village…" after ink said that yugo thought for a moment before getting a idea "what if me and my friends were to help the village see that hybrids are not bad?" He suggested as Ink rose a eyebrow and looked at Yugo"and how do you suppose your going to do that huh?" She asked him in which Yugo thought for a moment and smiled "I'll go get my friends and bring them here to we can plan it out!" And before ink could say anything Yugo had used his portals to teleport out of there after saying he would be back. After he was gone Ink sighed looking back down at the ground for a moment"... will he really be able to help?..." She questioned herself as she waited for the return of Yugo.
