CHAPTER 5 MIDNIGHT WALK

Sashas just been in her room listening to Alex G all night until she looks outside her window "whoa.. i forgot how pretty it is outside at night" she says staring into the moon up above from her windowsill. "I wonder what Annes doing right now" she says to herself, she turns around to look at her bedroom door, and then back outside "fuck it, dont care if my dad kills me when i get home. dad can go fuck himself" She tells herself laughing opening her door and putting on the clothes she has and of course her favourite converses. "how do you tie laces..?" She asks herself but soon she just gives up and goes outside with untied laces, she still had her headphones on too, listening to music while kicking rocks around on her street. It starts to rain a bit, Sasha reaches her hand out to feel the rain dripping onto the palm of her hand, its somehow comforting to her, soon shes sitting on the wet ground in the middle of the rain. Few seconds later shes laying in it "what am i doing?" Sasha laughs but suddenly she realises why. She hasn't felt or touched or even seen rain for the past few months that she completely forgot what it felt like to be in rain or to feel it. She became happy with the thought she finally was touching rain and smiled widely with her teeth, she never really much liked smiling with her teeth or even smiling at all. She has a tooth gap so she barely shows her teeth because she thinks it's embarrassing but this time. no one was looking she could smile all she wanted, she stood up and started laughing loudly while spinning around in the rain dancing and laughing and kicking puddles and making childish noises, she finally felt like a kid even though she turned 14 only a few months ago. She felt like she was 10 again, she loved it. She danced and laughed in the rain all night. She soon realised what she was doing that she was dancing in the middle of the road in the rain suddenly the sound of a car engine behind her came closer as she turned around 2 big lights flashed in her eyes she quickly found out what it was and gasped and jumped out the way quickly onto the pavement, she got a few scratches on her hand but that didn't matter. Her hair was already wet and so were her clothes, at first she was terrified of the thought of getting hit but after a few seconds she laughed. She laughed like a child again, laughed in the rain. on the street in the pavement just there. No one bothering her, just her, her music, and her smile.

MOVING PAST

"SASHA?" a voice says in the distance? she turns her head. ITS ANNE AND HER FATHER?? "huh? who? what ANNE?!?!.." She realises what they're seeing Anne rushed towards Sasha "YOU, EW.. WHY ARE YOU SO WET AND DIRTY.. and why do you have SCARS on your HANDS!!" Anne is very concerned about Sasha but on the other hand Sashas father acts like this is something he sees in his ordinary life. "right kiddo go inside" Mr Waybright sighs, "hi Anne!" Sasha says with an actual smile, with her teeth. "whoa Sasha i've never seen you smile with your teeth before..?" Anne looks weirded out to Sasha, Sashas smile quickly fades "oh yeah.." Sasha replies, "well i've got to go now see ya, Anne" Sasha says blankly going back inside then rushing to the bathroom to dry herself off. Sooner or later shes back in her room, smiling looking down at the spot that she was just dancing about laughing 10 minutes ago. "that was, nice" she says backing up onto her bed then continuing to lay on it, she forgot what her bed felt like for a while since she was sleeping on wood planks with moss for a blanket back in amphibia. She can finally rest.
