Rage. Rage is all Mei felt with the Samadhi Fire taking over her. She felt numb all over. All the pent up anger within herself felt as if it had finally been released in the worst way possible. Her skin felt as if it was being torn at everywhere. But nothing hurt more than the betrayal of Wukong. Just the fact that he knew about all this yet refused to let anyone know. All those times MK had to fend for himself, feeling weak and worthless because Wukong had left his side. How careless could someone get?! His morals all over the place and she couldn't stand the sight of him any longer. Screams of truth began to belt out her. She couldn't even remember what she was saying. All she knew is that she had been waiting to say it all for the longest time. She felt as if she weren't in control anymore. She didn't know what was going on.

'Why'd it all have to be like this.' She thought. Mei tried so desperately to find the answer, but she couldn't focus with every feeling she had been avoiding coming at her. She felt the tears down her face, steaming hot. How badly she wanted it to end. The voices of her friends all morphed and warped. She felt so lost, so hopeless.. How badly she wanted to scream, cry, destroy, crumble but all she felt was stuck. She kept trying and trying to compose herself but none of it was working. It all ached, every inch of her puppet-like body. Then she heard it. It sounded only like a whisper at first. Coming from somewhere, but where? She tried searching but her vision was obstructed by the raging flames. Then the voice grew louder, she could barely hear it.

"Mei! You have to stop!" She heard the tiny voice yelp. Her focus was back. Her only goal was to figure out how to control the Samadhi Fire. The voice continued to grow louder as a silhouette became clearer. The voice continued again this time louder, "I know what it's like to have a power you don't know how to control. To feel like the fate of the world is in your hands and you have no idea what to do!"

Then she knew that familiar voice. The voice that had helped her when she needed it most. The voice that had always been there for her. The voice that had fun with her in the moments she felt like nothing. That cheery voice was the reason she kept trying after all these years after all. Mk. She snapped. She felt her body flow with a resurgence of newfound energy as she began to fight the Samadhi Fire.

MK was still hurdling those same encouraging words at her that helped her always. The words grew louder with each step he took. Mei now using every ounce in her body to stop this thing. Then that loud voice spoke again. "We will figure this out, together!" It felt as if she'd been struck with lightning. As she snapped out it, her body suddenly became mobile again. She felt a warm embrace along with the cool breeze hit her all at once. She let out an exasperated gasp. So many emotions took her at once again but this time, it was mostly relief. As she regained her surroundings again. She realized Mk was hugging her. She gave him a reluctant hug in return. She didn't know what was going on still but it was over. For now.. Her emotions took over control and she began to sob.

But when she felt that similar rage building in her, she threw Mk off her. If felt like she was about to hurl. She couldn't risk him getting hurt because of her. "I can't.." she whimpered weakly. "I don't.. want to hurt you—any of you." The Samadhi Fire grew from within once more and she knew she had to get out of there. She drew a quivering breath as she looked up at all her friends faces for the last time. "I'm sorry."

MK had cried for her to stay but it was too late. For she had already gone.

 For she had already gone
