After spending the day among the smallfolk, Aemma and Cregan retired to their chambers. However, as usual, Aemma did not have a restful sleep.

"Muña! Muña!" She called out

Her voice woke Cregan and his eyes searched the chambers for whatever was causing his wife pain. It only took him a few seconds to realize that whatever she was seeing in her sleep was causing her distress.

It didn't take a wise man to know that his wife was reliving her mother's death.

"Aemma," Cregan called out and she jerked awake

She blinked sleepily at her husband, "Cregan?" She asked

"You were having a night terror." He said quietly

She furrowed her eyebrows as she tried to recall her dream, "I do not remember."

The Northerner was silent for a moment, "Was Aegarax placed in your cradle as an egg?" He asked, trying to calm her mind

Aemma felt a small smile cross her lips at the mention of her dragon, "Yes, Aegarax was an egg placed in my cradle. The tradition started when Princess Rhaena Targaryen- the Queen in the East and West, not my sister- placed a dragon egg in the cradles of her younger siblings, Jaehaerys and Alysanne, shortly after their births. When Jaehaerys became King, he placed an egg in the cradle of his newborn son, Aemon." She explained to him and her smile grew watery, "Aegarax, Vermax, Arrax, Tyraxes, and Morning all came from my mother's dragon, Syrax. Jace and I chose Luke's egg, despite only being 2 namedays. Luke chose Joffrey's, Baela and Rhaena chose Aegon's, Joff and Egg chose Viserys's and then all 8 of us chose Visenya's."

Her husband reached out and hovered his hand above hers. When she didn't immediately shy away, Cregan lowered his hand so he was holding Aemma's.

She stiffened as she felt the sick feeling of bare skin on hers. Walking arm in arm was better, as they had cloth covering their arms but this. This was almost enought to make her empty her stomach. She took a deep breath in to calm herself.

Cregan removed his hand immediately, "What of the eggs for our future children?" He asked

"Our children's eggs shall come from the clutch on Dragonstone. Mayhaps Rickon would like to choose the egg of his first sibling whenever that may be." She told him

The husband and wife talked for a bit longer, until finally Aemma closed her eyes and fell asleep again.

"Aemma," a voice called out waking her from her restless slumber

Once she opened her eyes, she let them adjust to the dark and then turned her head to see Cregan sleeping peacefully.

"Tala," the voice called again

Aemma looked around the room but there was only her and Cregan in the room. She slipped out of bed, pausing when her husband moved. When he settled again, she grabbed her dressing gown and put it on. As she secured it, she left her chambers.

"My Queen?" One of the Guards called, "Is everything alright?"

Aemma yawned, "Everything is fine. I simply wish to think." She told him and started walking towards the throne room.

"Stay with the Queen. I will stay to guard the King." The same guard told the other

Whichever of the guards that was with her followed her lead and stayed silent.
