Jahnavi's pov

they're asking my hand for JAI..
My first crush jai, the crush which I kept hidden for ages because of how he's an unaffordable crush seeing ,how totally opposite we look in physique me on the chubbier side and him on the girls swoon for his looks side, although I never confessed it to him he was okay with me rather than rude and all, except for my sister no one knows about it and I never made it rather obvious either so I'm safe with my secret where is this proposal coming from, while all these thoughts were running in my head my mom and dad didn't budge me about it either and the day went on normally watching tv and having dinner.

Next day morning I woke up late as I had no work today after all those chores, and after months I slept peacefully yesterday night and didn't let jai's thoughts come into my brain if I do I won't be able to sleep. My mom came into my room and told me to get ready for going to temple as today is Saturday, I got up and got ready for temple in a simple chudidar and plated my hair as usual long hair troubles🥲, while going in car my mom mentioned about today night we have a ritual it seems then it striked me first night!! Shit man this is so cringe I decided to stay silent we went to temple and did the Pooja and came back

Time skip to evening..

My sister and my brother in law came with some relatives I stayed away from all the process and I was actually not supposed to be too it seems like people who are younger or unmarried and stuff I was more than happy and decided to stay away and that dreadful night passed.
In the morning when my sister came to wake me up I teased her for a while and I got up , got freshen up and we went to the dining table to have breakfast Surya bava garu (my brother in law) was also there talking to my dad when we both sat my mom brought the breakfast and kept it on the table and served it to all of us while eating my mom and dad are talking in gestures and spoke after nodding their heads to each other
Jo alludu garu (son in law) janu got a marriage proposal may I say the first proposal ,we wanted to discuss with both of you as we know the boy's family very well and we both also like the match

Vasudha aunty and Srinivas uncle ma they came home day before yesterday and spoke about this they're not rushing but they gave us time they are asking janu for jai
My sister looked at me teasingly and cleared her throat
Isn't it too soon dad like my wedding was just 2 days back and already you want to marry her off ?
We are not saying we are going to marry her off tomorrow we are just discussing ma eventually she also needs to get married someday right but we like this alliance we wanted to discuss it with you if we agree to marriage and get engagement done we can keep wedding any time we want right ?
The discussion and all is fine and yeah it is a good alliance but did you ask her is janu okay with getting married so soon she's just 22 janu?
Everybody's attention was on me although all the discussion was about me I decided to stay silent and listen now I have to talk

My answer is yes I agree to it while saying that my cheeks were crept with blush my mom and dad were happy they had the biggest smile and they had some tears in their eyes,my sister was also happy my brother in law congratulated me and said janu he's a good guy I know him as my junior and heard he's very good at his job too if you need any secret information just let me know I'll fetch it 😁

My dad made the calls and spoke to Vasudha aunty and Srinivas uncle they were also happy at the other end of the phone we decided on only engagement for now and marriage after a while like after few months. I wouldn't even imagine in my dreams that I might get married to Jai out of all people that too this soon OMG I'm getting married to JAI
