It was a warm summer evening, and Emma was out for a walk in her neighborhood. She had just finished a long day at work and was looking forward to unwinding with a peaceful stroll. As she turned a corner, she noticed a man sitting on a bench, staring intently at his phone. He looked up as she approached, and their eyes met. Emma felt a sudden jolt of recognition, as if she had seen him before, but couldn't quite place where.
The man, whose name was Jack, introduced himself and asked if he could join her on her walk. Emma hesitated for a moment, but something about him seemed kind and genuine, so she agreed. They walked together in silence for a few minutes, enjoying the warm sunset and the sound of crickets chirping in the grass.
As they reached a small park, Jack turned to Emma and asked her about herself. She told him about her job as a writer and her passion for poetry. Jack listened intently, asking thoughtful questions and making witty remarks that made her laugh. Emma found herself feeling more and more comfortable around him, and before she knew it, they had been walking and talking for over an hour.
