You were always there

Chapter 5

Lessons were continuing up until Halloween. We had also started flying Lessons, but I didn't like flying.

We were sat in charms and I was working with Ron. Harry was working with Seamus I think his name was.

"Stop, stop, you're going to poke someone's um eye out. Besides you're saying it um wrong, it's Leviosa not Leviosar," I said not looking at him.

"You do it, you're so clever. Go on," Ron snapped.

I recited the wingardium leviosa charm and my feather levitated off the desk.

Harry got it same time as me, but Seamus exploded his.

"Honestly, she's a nightmare, it's Leviosa not Leviosar, it's no wonder she has no friends," Ron said to Dean and Seamus.

"Harry, I um need to go," I ran off.

I heard Harry shouting at Ron, but I ran to the Girls bathroom.

I spent ages sobbing. I wondered if Harry was only friends with me because he felt sorry for me. I calmed my breathing.

"Hermione, are you OK?" Harry asked.

"Harry, this is...this is a girls bathroom. You're not a um girl," I said.

"Yeah, however Hagrid told me he saw you go in here. I care about you," Harry said.

"But why, Ron is right," I said.

"OK, did you hear what I said to him?" Harry asked.

I said nothing.

"I said that you were trying to help and if he could get his head out his arse he'd have seen that. Also I said that I'm your friend and always will be. Then I tried to find you. Hagrid said you're in here, and I promised I'd see him this week. Do you want to come?" Harry spoke.

"Um, sure. Harry have you um showered lately?" I asked.

"Yes, why..no a troll. I read trolls are stupid. How did it get in?" Harry asked.

"No idea, maybe someone let it um in. Harry do you um know any spells?" I asked.

The troll looked at us, just as a voice shouted winguardium Leviosa. The trolls club hit it in the head.

It fell, it was knocked out.

"Hagrid told me that you two were here. I need an explanation ," Professor Flitwick said.

Professor Mcgonagal and Snape were also there. Quirrell sat on a toilet clutching his heart.

"I um can't.." I burst into tears.

"Professors, after Charms, Ron Weasley insulted Hermione after she helped him. She ran here, and if Hagrid hadn't told me she was here, she might have been killed," Harry spoke.

"I will speak to Mr Weasley, if he confirms this, he will have a week of detentions. Excuse me," Professor Mcgonagal said.

Professor Snape also left, and he was limping.

"Well, I'm glad you two are safe. 20 points to Ravenclaw, Mr Potter for looking out for a fellow classmate. Now go back to your dorms, the feast is finishing there," Professor Flitwick smiled.

We left the bathroom and walked to the common room. I pulled Harry into a classroom.

"Harry, um thanks for being there. If you weren't I could have died. My other Dorm mates might not have um cared, but you, you're different. I like you," I said.

"Like me?" Harry asked.

"Yes, only student I like here. So let's go bestie and you're not getting rid of me," I smirked.

"Is that you opening up?" Harry asked.

He sighed

"You wish, spill what's on your mind?" I asked.

"My parents died on Halloween, sorry I don't know if I should have told you that," Harry signed.

"No, um listen. I don't know when mine died. I don't remember them, but um make sure you tell me things," I said.

Then I did something that surprised me and him. I hugged him. We stayed for a few minutes, then went to the Common room.
