"ughh what a day!.." Loki groaned melodramatically as he carelessly tossed his helm on his giant, green silken bed, then stretched his arms a bit, twisting his torso as if to loosen his muscles.
"I had to stand for nearly two hours to get my portrait done! Maybe I should execute that artist...?" He paused for a moment then shook off the thought as he shrugged his thin leather jacket off and hung it in his closet with his magic, not even paying attention to anything else. In other words, he didn't even realize that you weren't in the bedroom.

"Don't do that. Art takes time! the longer the time the better it'll look, dear!". You called out while you were in the bathroom. But Loki still didn't notice, he was more preoccupied with changing his clothes to his more comfortable ones.

"I suppose you are right, love" He replied as he looked at his wall of books for something specific before he exclaimed with his smug sarcasm and obvious irritation, "oh! And you'll NEVER guess what happened today! Thor, is back! Yay! My ignorant brother couldn't stay away in exile for five minutes, could he?!" He waved his arms in the air animatedly, expecting a reply but hearing only silence for a few short moments. Furrowing his eyes in confusion once it finally hit him that you weren't in the bedroom, he began to walk towards the bathroom.
"Y/n, are you even listening to me-?!" He trailed off as soon as he opened the door to the bathroom with wide eyes of shock, his jaw slacked as soon as he saw you.

You were deathly pale with a red nose so bright you could be rudolphs sister, hovered over the toilet and clinging to the bowl as if it was your last hope of life, smiling weakly at Loki once your eyes caught his.

"Heeey Loki!" Your voice sounded hoarse and soft, you could barely get a word out without your throat hurting. "I'm sorry, what did you say about thor?" You asked politely, trying to diffuse this embarrassing situation as- without looking, -you reached up to flush the toilet for the third time in the past 30-ish minutes.

"Darling ..." He rushed over to you and kneeled by your side, rubbing your back with one hand, and checking your temperature with the back of his other hand, concern and worry washed over his face like a tsunami. Confirming his fears, you were as hot as an oven on the highest temperature. "W-what happened? Are you alright?! Why didn't you send for me??..." He bombarded you with questions that made you feel quite confused, your mind was too drowsy and slow to process really anything right now. Luckily, Loki noticed and nodded to himself as he took a deep breath to calm himself down and shut up.

"I-I didn't tell you because it's really no big deal" You answered meekly with an innocent shrug, "I didn't want to pull you away from your important work just to take care of little ol' me." You smiled shyly as you bowed your head guiltily.

"But you are the most important thing in my life, my dear. I don't know what I'd do if you were hurt or worse!" He continued to rub your back, which surprisingly soothed you. You were glad he was here to help you through this. His beautiful eyes suddenly widened in thought, a slight premature smile growing on his face, "y/n, A-are you-..?" He asked with a hint of hopefulness in his voice.

"-WHAT?! No! No I'm not pregnant Loki, It's only been like a few days since we had sex." He grimaced at your choice of words, as if to restrain himself to correct your vocabulary to something more mature and elegant like his. "I'm just really sick. I already got the medicine, but when I came back to our chambers I threw it up. And my lunch." You pouted sadly.

"Tsk tsk I'm so sorry. Trust me, I'll take good care of you, love~" he kissed your cheek sweetly with a considerate smile.

You smiled back but not as strongly, "thank you Loki, you're too sweet to-" your sentence was cut off by throwing up again. Loki made a slight disgusted grimace as he held your hair back and continued to try and comfort you through this painful ordeal.
