*The night was dark and brisk; all he wanted to do was get home safe; there had been missing cases; many people had been found dead in these forests; they had all been drained of blood; people speculated there was an animal on the loose; but... come on? What kind of animal sucks the blood of its victims? Noah was fully convinced it was a vampire, but there was no one to believe him. Everyone around him that he told said he was crazy, ill, and even a jokester to how many people had died despite how serious he was. He sighed, thinking back to what his mother always warned him about: going out late because there's 'bad things lurking around every corner'. Those words echoed in his mind, like claws they dug deep.
"Thanks for the thought, mom."
Noah mumbled, taking to himself that he was walking on a trail next to a dark forest. He was sick of the winter times; the day lasted shorter, which meant the darkness would quickly consume the world around him at simply 6! Suddenly, out of the blue, Je heard a snap in the forest. His eyes widened, and he stopped turning in the direction of the sound. He clenched his teeth and fumbled, grabbing his phone, shaking, and turning on his light. His heart dropped, and he stared. He bagged to move, to look away, to **run**, but he was frozen. There before him was a boy with long brown hair, a red shirt, brownish green pants, and fangs coated in a metallic liquid—blood. Then there was another, a blonde girl, pale as snow, her neck pierced with two holes, blood flowing down her onto her chest, her blue shirt turning red as if a shark were killed in the water. suddenly the boy, mouth dripping with blood, turned his head to look at Noah; he didn't look surprised, more or less annoyed. He dropped the limp body of the girl, and what pained Noah the most was that he knew that girl; oh, he knew her well, Bridgette. It was painful to look at her limp, dead body, but more importantly, the man was now approaching him. At that moment, Noah had finally gained control once more of his body and fled. Almost in sync, the red male swiftly started chasing after him, staring at him as if he were his prey. Noah cursed mentally at how slow he was; he was never really athletic, so he wasn't the best runner. Within seconds, he was suddenly thrown to the ground. Cold-tanned hands grabbed his mouth to stop him from making any sounds, then another hand roughly pushed down against him before they curled around his shirts, yanking him up until he was standing straight up. Noah shit his eyes tight, thinking back to his family, friends, and others, wishing he could see them again. Was this really how it's ended? Suddenly, he heard a voice; it must've been the vampire. He listened as he spoke.
You saw it, didn't you, hm? The girl, I don't have any witnesses, you know? that's blowing my cover.
*The unknown one spoke, his tone soft yet felt like a dagger right through Noah's chest. At this point, his heart was beating so fast he was sure it would pop right from his chest.*
I could.. you know, let you go, but I can't get you to tell other people, right? You understand, don't you? Sadly, I'm full for the night; I've had my fair share of **blood**, and I could simply give you over to my brothers, but I don't think they deserve you, hm? Why don't I keep you for a while? As long as you stay in line, you'll be fine.
Noah just stayed still, listening to the vampire. As he felt their grasp loosen on them, he took that moment, quickly squirming from his grip, and began to run. though he didn't make it far, within three steps—a thundering crack, then a thump. Noah now lay on the sidewalk, unconscious, as blood oozed from his head. The mysterious person stood over him, his hand wetted with his blood, and a small smile crept on his face. Maybe this one would be a fun play thing. The vampire gently grabbed the unconscious body of the human, cradling it slightly as he walked into the forest to make his way back home. Noah had no idea what was coming now.
