Potential description: Third Life came and gone and so did Last Life.
Martyn died in both so he waited for Death's cold embrace into the next game which was hinted to him by the Watchers to be called Double Life.
So he waited...
And waited...
And waited some more...
But it never came. Not the embrace and not being transported to the game with half of his memories wiped.
He woke up in his regular body but in a completely different life.
This isn't how you're supposed to play the game. Martyn knows this and so...this world will pay the consequences.
