Guys, this is A SHORT STORY.

it's gonna be FAST PACED.

That being said....I hope you like chapter, I don't rlly like it because I hate all my first chapters, but fuck it we ball.

I kept thinking about that day, that day I saw him and went straight to Ginira and Aine to tell him my hundreds of fantasies about him.

I knew he was crazy, probably dangerous if he was a Murphy and a murderer. I didn't think about it, I didn't think at all, which led to him hearing what I had said. He asked me to show him where the bathroom was and then pushed me inside and gave me my first kiss.

I bet I was horrible, and it showed because he teased me and told me that I was too innocent for him before leaving me....in the bathroom...in embarrassment. From then on, it was more of a love-hate relationship than a one-sided crush.

Today, I was in a cafe with my tutor, Adam, doing government homework with him because both my friends are married (Aine and Ginira) and Adam is the only one available.

"How's calculus been going?" Adam asked with a smug look on his face. He's been tutoring me in math, and he's so cocky about it because he sucks in everything else that isn't math.

I laughed, giving him a side-eye. "I'm passing."

He playfully shoved me. "Come on," he dragged. "Give me more credit than that."

I sighed and glared up at him when he put an arm around me. "Adam, you are such a god in math. My D- has gone up to a B+, how could I ever repay you, oh Lord Adam," I teased.

Adam chuckled proudly. "Start by–"

We both paused when someone sat on the third chair of our table that was unused. I'm sure Adam paused in confusion because he didn't know who this red-haired god of a man with a shit eating-grin was, but I do. My pause was because I was horrified.

"Who are you?" Adam asked, slightly confused.

Lucan looked at me. "Noelle, why don't you introduce us?"

I frowned, rubbing my face. "Adam this is Lucan, a friend, Lucan this is Adam, my tutor."

"And best friend." Adam added.

I scoffed, shaking my head incredulously.

Lucan chuckled, leaning in a bit. "Just friends, Noelle?"

I glared at Lucan. "Adam," I smiled at him. "Lucan and I have important matters to discuss. I'll pay for your Starbucks drink for the next two weeks."

Adam thought about it. "Sure whatever," he looked at Lucan weirdly as Lucan just continued to stare at me.

As soon as Adam was out of sight, I turned to Lucan. "What are you doing here?" I whisper-yelled.

Lucan pouted. "Is that any way to talk to the man of your dreams?"

My cheeks heated in embarrassment. "I...I changed my mind. Forget about what I said." I began to pack up my stuff. Now, I was too embarrassed to have a conversation with him.

"Why are you leaving so soon?" He asked, grinning.

I paused to glare at him. "You think this is funny and it's not. I made a lapse of judgment."

"But I can't make a lapse of judgment?" Lucan pouted.

"A lapse in judgment about what?" I asked, furrowing my brows.
