"Ma'am, Subject 001 is waking up."

Kamala couldn't register voices she was hearing, her eyelids felt heavy, but she opened them anyway and regretted it instantly, glaring bright lights shone down at her piercing her skull, causing agony to flood through her brain, she shut her eyes. She wanted it to stop. She wanted to turn off the lights.

Finally, after what felt like forever, she opened her eyes and got up, looking around she took in her surroundings, from what she could see she was in some kind of small cell, which took up have of the room, the cell itself had four walls, three which where blank and one, the one facing the door had a glass wall with steel bars in front of it, beyond the cell the room was empty except for a small plastic folding chair facing her.

Kamala swallowed hard, "This doesn't look good,"
She reached her throat feeling a cold, thick, sharp metal collar, she looked down at herself seeing the clothes she had on where gone and that she was wearing a gray short-sleeved jumpsuit, on the upper left side of her chest were the numbers "001" printed.
She reached up a hand to the collar and was about to yank it off, when the door into slammed open, causing a loud bang,
She whipped towards the door and froze.

"I wouldn't do that if I where you," Agent Deever smirked, "You wouldn't like the consequences,"

Kamala felt a cold shiver run down her spine, and slowly backed away from the bars of the cell, she hadn't seen Deever since the last time she tried to capture her and Kamran at school.
She still had nightmares.

"Long time no see, Kamala,"
"Can I call you that or do you prefer, Ms Marvel?"

Kamala eyes widened, "How did you kno....
"Oh, it was easy, when my new employer gave me free reign to track you down,"
"She understands the necessary things one has to do to protect this city, unlike that idiot Cleary,"
Deever walked over and pulled up the chair sitting down, which made a loud creak,
Kamala furrowed her brows, " Where's my family?"
Deever frowned, "I don't think you're in the position to be asking questions, girl,"

She pulled out a small looking remote, from her pocket and pressed it.

Kamala fell to her knees as screamed in agony as the collar constricted and sent painful shocks of electricity straight through her body. It seemed like it would never end and when it finally did she gasped for air, coughing and sputtering as she struggled to fill her lungs. The air she did manage to suck in cut painfully down her dry throat and she desperately tried to swallow, but wasn't able to.

Deever smiled, " You'll learn how thing work around here soon,"

"What d-do you w-want from me?" Kamala choked out, voice hoarse and slurred.

"Me?" "Nothing, except you being locked away like the dangerous individual you are," but my employer has other plans for you,"Denver answered

Deever got up and started to walk away, she stopped and turned to Kamala who was on her hand and knees, "You better get some rest, Kamala, you're going to need it"
And walked out and the door slamming shut and the loud changing of the lock.
Kamala curled into a ball, a tear rolled down her cheek,"Carol will save me,"
"Know it,"
"Just have to stay strong"

. . . . . . .

Carol walked into the kitchen, to fix a sandwich,
Goose watching her from the counter,
When to phone started to ring,
"Hello?"
Carol, it's Fury",
Carol  frowned, Fury was always serious, but he sounded different, something was wrong. "Fury, what's wrong?"
"I need you to come to the Khans, ASP, it's Kamala."
