I was shook. MINDBLOWN. This is insane. I did not expect Luffy to text me for Y/N's number. I mean I kinda expect the rest of his friends wanting to be her friends but I didn't expect Luffy to be the one to ask. I chuckled and thought to myself, 'Damn, I wonder how Y/N is going to react knowing that her tiktok crush texted me for her number.' Iscreenshotted the conversation between me and Luffy and sent it to Y/N, wanting to get her permission and see her reaction.

I knew she was gonna react like that. I just hope Luffy and his friends won't be too harsh with her. I hope Luffy won't get mad for replying him the next day.

'Ouch, kinda hurt to refer myself as her best friend but I know she could never see me as someone more than that....but I'm happy as long as she's happy! I can't let her experience anymore of THAT.' I thought to myself as I remember how hurt she was in the past and how much guilt I felt as I couldn't help her because I was weak too. I felt my phone vibrate and saw that Luffy replied by saying, "oh cool! too bad for Sanji then, anyways I added her in alrd & don't worry abt it, we'll take care of her." I smiled at the reply and replied with a thanks before getting ready for work.
*Timeskip to Koby on break*
Finally, I'm so damn tired and hungry. I wonder how it's going with Y/N and the strawhats, I took out my phone to text her as I made my way to the elevator to leave the buildingand go to the café that I first met Luffy. While waiting for the elevator, my friend, Helmeppo, came over and accidentally scared me.
"Yo Koby! Who are you texting?" Helmeppo said while hitting my back. I jumped up but let out a sigh seeing that it was only him. "Oh...just Y/N" I told him. "You mean your long time crush? When are you going to tell her your feelings dude?" He asked while letting out a sigh of disappointment. I quickly shook my head and deny it. "I can never do that! I don't want to break our friendship and she doesn't even see me more than a best friend, plus she likes someone else so as long as she's happy then I'm happy too....even from watching her from afar" I said while giving him a sad smile. Helmeppo knocked my head hard. "Stop being so sappy already, you're ruining my mood to eat man!" he said and I thanked him for trying to lighten up the mood.
*Timeskip to the convo betw. Y/N & Koby in chpt 2 again*
I chuckled at the way Y/N ended the conversation. I let out a sigh of relieved, I'm so glad that the strawhat gang are nice to her. "What's up with you and letting out sighs?" I heard Helmeppo ask, I looked up and saw him eating my food. "DUDE! What the hell, that's my food!" I shouted at him, enough for only the two of us to hear and not attracting any on-lookers. "Really? Damn, sorry about that I guess, you can take mine when it comes" Right on cue, the waitress came and gave the food and it was just a single croisssant. I sigh in disappointment but just ate it. "So? What's up with you and Y/N?" He asked again. "Nothing really, just being a wingman for her and that's it" I answered him while shrugging. "Wait what? And you're okay with that? What happened anyways until you became her wingman?" He questioned again. "Long story short, she's now apart of the strawhat gang because they wanna be friends with her and her crush asked me for her number. Remember the dude I told you about that I met him here?" Helmeppo nod his head. "Yeah, Y/N has a crush on him and his name is Luffy. Like I said, as long as she's happy then I'm happy so yeah, I'm okay with it" I told him. Helmeppo let out a whistle, "Damn that's tough. A one-sided love, it's fine, look at me bro. I'm single too because ladies can't handle my charm!" he said confidently.
I sweatdropped and laughed at him. "Thanks for cheering me up man" I said as I got up to order myself a drink. "You doubting me bro? Fine. Watch this" Helmeppo got up and went to the cashier to flirt with her. The cashier rejected him with a sweet smile and said that she doesn't like men with an ugly haircut.
Helmeppo was dejected and I awkwardly laughed at the cashier. Once I got my drink, I dragged him out of the café so that we can get back to work. Working as a paramedic to save people's life sure is tough.
