He's the one thing she couldn't plan for.
Anastasia Allen has worked her entire life for a shot at Team USA. It looks like everything is going according to plan when she gets a full scholarship to the University of California, Maple Hills, and land a place on their competitive figure skating team. Nothing will stand in her way, not even the captain of the hockey team, Nate Hawkins. Nate's focus as team captain is keeping his team on the ice. Which is tricky when the facilities mishap means they are forced to share a rink with the figure skating team - including Anastasia, who clearly can't stand him. But when Anastasia's skating partner faces an uncertain future, she may have to look to Nate to take her shot. Sparks fly, but Anastasia isn't worried... because she could never like a hockey player, right?
My Review:
I-I LOVED THIS BOOK SO MUCH OMGGG. I love the enemies to lovers trope, I love seeing that slow burn even tho they do end up having sex periodically. But I mean the slow burn from them being enemies to friends and then finally lovers. It was also so cute seeing how much Nate cared for Anastasia. I nearly cried when I thought Anastasia was gonna pass away after she fell through the ice at Nate's house. I was so happy when Anastasia woke up in the hospital, it made me happy knowing a character I could relate too, didn't die. Anastasia's love for Nathan was also a slow burn because she found him annoying at first and then throughout time, she actually fell in love with a hockey player. I also loved reading the part of the book when Nate did figure skating with Anastasia after Aaron(that asshole) hurt his leg so he couldn't skate. So Nate couldn't be on the hockey team for a while and in that time, did figure skating with Anastasia. Overall, the smut in this was amazinggg, i loved every second of it. I will also say, this book is a 5 star rating for me because I loved the relationship between Anastasia and Nate <3
Icebreaker was the most recent book that I finished and I loved it so muchhh. So starting now, the reviews will be more periodically because I'm reading Wildfire rn and I'm not done the book yet so expect another book review in a couple days ish.
