Annother day in school

Cuphead's POV:
I wish I could sleep more or pretend I was sick. I hate school! And Monday is here again. Why do we have to go to school! I dragged myself to the dresser so I can put on some clothes.

I actually appreciate the fact that there is no uniforms. I quickly went to the bathroom and washed my face just hoping to finally come back to bed. But that isn't an option so I made my way to Mugs room. As usual he was ready before me.

He dressed up professionally, with a button down white shirt and a pair of black pants. Though I could tell he was wearing it all night because it had a few wrinkles but didn't seem noticeable.

And just look at me, wearing jeans, my usual black turtleneck shirt, and a red sweater to cover it. I didn't mind the shirt but by now Elder Kettle may have noticed the bruises I got if I didn't wear a sweater.

Mugman dragged me downstairs as he knew better to leave me alone because I would immediately go to sleep. Elder Kettle was awake of course. He was one of the most important teachers in school.

I really don't know, if the school you went to was like mine. My school had the usual classes, Math, History, ELAR, Science, and some other extra curricular courses. I had the usual ones but the only one I never had and everybody had was Magic.

That's right, Magic. It was common in my school and in the isle but I seemed like the only one who didn't have any. I always used to like the fact that others hated me because of my many pranks but that was not the case.

I sighed as I reached for my plate of bacon and eggs and sat down next to Mugman. I liked primary and Middle school is like boredom! I ate as slowly as I could but Mugman told me to hurry up so we wouldn't be late.

"How ya feeling boys?" Elder Kettle asked with a big grin on his face.

"Exited!" Mugman blurted out.

My answer was a simple shrug as I put my plate away. We all walked to school even though it was early. I mean, we do live far from school but some extra sleep would be nice once in a while.

We all arrived to the only school in the first inkwell isle "The School of Inkwell" that was the sign placed in the big building. Elder Kettle went to class as we went to our separate advisories. His was reading and mine was math. How unfortunate.

I would sit by myself at the very back, everyone sneering at me. They wouldn't stop looking at me and I didn't care. Actually, I didn't have a care in the world. I saw a black sharp shape coming at me and I quickly blocked it. I fell out of my chair when I did and everyone laughed.

Once the teacher saw she simple sent the guy to the principal's office by teleporting him. I let out a sigh of relief and sat there until the bell rang for first period. I sat next to Mugman in Reading. It was easy the assignment, read a article and write a summary about it.

Next was Physical Education, My favorite. I changed by removing my sweater and putting on my usual red shorts. Today was dodgeball and I hoped they wouldn't trick me like last time. Last time, I tripped because someone left water on the floor. Or mostly the freckled bird who did it. He has a kind of water power that would get me every time.

I dodged easily with my team. They all were out and I was the last one. They were barely 2 more players. I easily hit one and the other proceeded to add a lil bit of speed to the ball. I thankfully ducked in time and hit him in the knee.

He threw the remaining ball in the ground furiously and glared at me. I gave him a L with my finger and he was pissed. The next one was Math. Kinda worse but it was easy. All we had to do was turn fractions to percentages. I thanked my brain for not zoning out. I got a 100 and I knew it would boost my grade by a lot. I had at least an 80 here.

Next was 4th, my free period. Everyone else went to Elder Kettle's class. I wished I could go there but I'm not one with magic. I knew that perfectly. All I could do was stroll in the library or go outside and enjoy fresh air. I went outside and hoped Mac was here. He's maybe my only friend.

I remember, we used to love playing pranks on others, but he moved away once I barely started middle school. I hated it. All I did was give a deep breath in the school garden.

Next was lunch, today we had spaghetti or how Mugman's liked to call it "pasghetii" he'd say. I gave a light chuckle at that. Once I got my lunch, I sat in the farthest table of the cafeteria.

I know what you're saying, why ain't I sitting with my brother? Well, the table he sits at is always full of students begging him to do their homework since he was the smartest. He would accept for a few but of course he would use most of his time to study.

The speaker made a noise. Everyone shut themselves up and stopped eating. I kept eating and listened closely. "Attention, students and teachers!" The speaker was loud.

"We have a new student arriving tomorrow. I hope you welcome her, and give a great example of our community" I raised my brows. A 'girl'?

They all looked at me again and I simply shrugged and kept eating.

6th, 7th, and 8th passed and everyone was talking about the new student. Finally it was time to go home.

Mugman stayed behind for tutoring even though he didn't need it. Elder Kettle stayed behind for questions and also tutoring.

I walked home by myself, thinking today was perfect. I mean, I got my revenge on two people. Finally they give actual good lunch, not just prison food. And well, at least I didn't get in trouble today.

I found myself pushed in an alleyway hard on the wall. I felt cracks and a tinge of pain. And that's when I saw him...

Cliffhanger cause why not? Some find it annoying but it's fun to tease around. Anyways, you can put comments on what you think may happen next. Also Cover ain't mine!
