Cuphead's POV:
Chalice helped me from my leg. I was basically being dragged to the side. The beast stood and everyone panicked. Screams of horror filled the room. The beast gave out a cackled laugh within the frighten faces.

"Well, look what we have here. I know this may be a bit sudden but I finally cracked the spell that kept me and my other servants from making mayhem. Just call me 'The Devil'" He had a grouchy voice that kinda reminded me of Porkrind.

He finally went outside from the already damaged wall in the school. He threatened to destroy our community and to keep us as slaves.

I looked around at everyone and nobody seemed to step up even though they have at least some power to defeat him. Even Elder Kettle just stood in horror not doing anything even though he once said that he helped lock that guy in hell.

Days went by, and it started to get worse and worse. The devil would storm into peoples houses and took the magic the older children like me or adults.

I got pissed off and tried to figure out a way to stop the mess. My leg was fixed thanks to Chalice so I wouldn't have to worry about that. Chalice wanted to try and forget about what happened so she invited me to go to the mausoleum.

There we prayed for our leaders from the Calix Animi to give a sign for our freedom. Even though it was less likely to happen we still prayed.

We went back home glum not knowing what to do, either to move to another isle and start over again or to survive here.

Many moved away in fear even though the Devil had some of his servants to make sure no one had magic inside them before they left. I returned back to the mausoleum, still glum.

When I arrived no one was there except for a flask and a note near an artifact. Curious, I walked closer to it and the first word I read was my name.

I looked around wondering if anyone was near or if it was a prank of some sort. But, I heard no one except for my heart beat.

The note said:

Dear Cuphead,
I know this may seem silly or anything but I see your confidence on a better future for your community. I also discovered that you wish to have some power to defeat the rotten evil. So, if you may, drink the flask it will give you unexplainable power, (Astral Power) I want you do this for everyone's own good.

Best wishes,
Unknown

I finished reading it with a question running in my mind. 'Who is this unknown person' but without a second thought I followed the steps that was included with the note.

First, I had to pour a small amount of the flask in my head. I made sure to use at least a few drops and I felt very lightheaded.

I had to do the other steps outside because there was no way I could practice this weird substituted power inside the mausoleum. Heck, I could destroy it if I wasn't careful.

I practiced day and night and also managed to get charms and other weapons thanks to my old pal Porkrind (in which I still love to annoy).

The day was here, I felt it. I went to the third isle without telling anyone, not even Chalice. I knew it was selfish but the last thing I wanted is to put them in danger.

When I went to the third isle I saw a cave with a big sign that clearly said (The Devil's Casino including Hell) I rolled my eyes at how clear he wanted for someone to put down a fight.
