Hi, there!
Yes, I know you want to get into the story, but please read this first.
This story is dedicated to my very dear friend, Aerialboos4 , who I see as family. She's also been a long-time fan of my works, so it made sense to write a book for her. (She wanted to share it with everyone, so that's why you're seeing it.)
Although it turned out to be two to three times longer than expected/planned in the beginning, I wrote, edited, and proofread this book in less than two and a half months for her birthday this year. It was rough because I wasn't sure I could finish it in time, but I thoroughly enjoyed writing this story.
There are Italian sentences/phrases and words in this story, which the user @meyoumyself1, helped me with during my editing process that started in late November. Thank you so much for your help. I was really worried that no one would help me and I wondered if I was biting off more than I could chew, even though I really wanted to make this as "realistic" as possible with the Italian language.
Through my own research (in the beginning), the translator DeepL, and @meyoumyself1 confirming the translations were correct (or telling me what was incorrect and how to fix it), I learned a lot of interesting things. So, thanks again!
Also, I didn't like the flow of adding the translated Italian where the untranslated is in the text because the main character doesn't actually understand full sentences for most of the story. So, you'll be left out of the loop unless the meanings are mentioned in the plot of the chapters. However, I put the translations (if any) at the bottom of each chapter.
Any spoken Italian in the story is highlighted with italics, although of course there are English words with italics as well to emphasize what the characters are saying/thinking at times.
I will be updating this once a week because I have two other stories I'm updating three times a week.
