"That is so unfair!"
"Stop whining, you man-child. We already told you the circumstances."
I giggled while Jamar pouted, unable to say a word after Leonello's rebuke of his adorable whining. I reached up for Jamar, so he smiled and lifted me to rest against his side. I hugged Jamar's neck and kissed his cheeks.
"Don't worry, Jam. You'll be getting just as much affection as I gave to Lu and Nello yesterday, okay?"
Jamar grinned. "Sounds like a plan, Ollie."
Leonello rolled his eyes, but he smiled after I wiggled my fingers at him. "Baby, how about you make your Jam really happy right now so we can go on with our date?"
I blushed. "I will, just give me a sec. It took a lot of willpower to do that yesterday."
Lucian grinned. "But you made Leon and I overjoyed."
"Yeah," I whispered, then nuzzled Jamar's jawline.
He looked at peace holding me against his right side. His gorgeous hazel eyes were bright with happiness and excitement as he beamed at me. I cupped Jamar's dark olive cheeks and gently kissed his warm, soft lips. He froze with his lips parted, which made me giggle while I hugged his neck.
"I'll give you lots of these kinds of kisses, too." I whispered shyly, my face on fire.
Jamar suddenly squeezed my form, then buried his face against my neck. Leonello clapped his best friend's shoulder with a soft laugh and Lucian lightly elbowed him, but Jamar merely heaved a shuddering sigh.
"You're happy, aren't you?"
Jamar sniffled and nuzzled my jaw. "Of course I am, Lucian. My Ollie gave me a kiss on the lips."
His teary face made my heart clench. I gently brushed my thumbs over his cheeks, so his reddened hazel eyes met my silvery green. I smiled and pecked his lips again, so Jamar was able to return the kiss this time. I played with his curly hair a bit while my biggest boyfriend continued to calm down, even blowing his nose after getting very close to crying. He had me cling to him while he washed his hands, then I relaxed as our trio left his apartment to head for our first destination.
"Where are we going, baby? You wanted us to have mostly empty stomachs this morning."
I looked at Leonello with a big smile on my face. "To a special café! We're going to do some fun things there."
Lucian raised an eyebrow, then reached for my hair and tousled it. "What's the name of it, baby berry?"
"Perfect Slice Bakery and Café."
Jamar hummed. "I feel like I've heard of that before."
"You have, Jam." I replied with a laugh. "I told you a few years ago that it would be fun to go there if I had enough money. You offered to take me, but I felt bad that you had to pay for us both and refused."
"Damn," murmured Leonello. "No wonder you bitched so much. Oliver would rarely let you spoil him."
"Now you get it!" exclaimed Jamar, cupping the back of my head. "It was killing me not being able to take care of him as much as I wanted."
I blushed. "Well, you were my friend and I didn't want you to think I was around for the monetary benefits your family provided. But I was—and still am—thankful to you for feeding me over the years."
Lucian clicked his tongue. "This much cuteness should be illegal."
"For anyone other than us to hear, you mean."
