Daebi - The consort of the late king/ Current king's mother ( Jeongguk's mother)

Taehyung squints his eyes open as he feels a cold touch on his skin. He slowly opens his eyes to view a muscular chest, and he blinks his eyes, trying to make sense of his surroundings. He startles upon realising his position and the chest. He slowly raises his gaze to see the vampire king in deep sleep, one hand wrapped around his waist, bringing him close to the vampire's chest while the other hand held his small hand. He swallows suddenly. Though they've had sex a lot of times, never in these 12 years have they spent a night together or slept in the same bed. Taehyung then tries to remember what happened and gets glimpses of Jeongguk coming at night and them getting intimate flashing in front of his eyes, and then he remembers struggling to breathe when the vampire had drunk from him. Had he fallen unconscious after that? He wondered. 

Jimin enters the chamber silently, with a bunch of fresh flowers moving towards the vase in the corner. His eyes widened upon seeing Taehyung. He opens his mouth but then immediately closes it, noticing the vampire king's sleeping state. Taehyung slowly pries Jeongguk's hands off him before trying to get up. He felt really dizzy. Jimin immediately came beside him, supporting the omega to stand up, and helped him towards the bathroom. Jimin prepared the omega's bath as he helped him get inside the tub filled with lukewarm water, aromatic herbs, and rose petals. He felt his tightened muscles relax as he closed his eyes and leaned back in comfort.

"What happened to me, Jimin?" He asks in a low voice, eyes still closed, head leaned back on the tub.

"You fell unconscious after Jusang Jeonha drank from you," Jimin adds, scrubbing the omega's arms gently. Taehyung hums. "And for how many hours was I unconscious?" he continues. Jimin paused his actions, taking a moment to think before replying in a low voice, "27 hours, Maama."

Taehyung's eyes shoot open as he stares at Jimin.

"What?"

Jimin nods, feeling his eyes fill up with tears. " Maama," he croaks out, his lips quivering.

Taehyung straightens his posture, reaching for the beta's hands. "What is it, Jimin? Tell me," he whispers, his heart unsteady.

"Mm..Maama..you..the werewolf physician..told that you..." Jimin couldn't finish the sentence as he broke down, tears flowing uncontrollably from the beautiful beta's eyes.

"Finish what you were trying to say, Jimin," the omega mumbles with a firm tone. Jimin sighs, wiping out his tears before saying, "He said, now you're beyond curable, and at..at the most, you..you've got 3 months left to live." He finishes, teary eyes looking at the omega.

Taehyung flinched, recoiling from Jimin. He lowers his head as he stares at his hands over his knees. To be honest, he knew this day was coming sooner or later; he doesn't get his heat anymore, and his senses have lowered even below those of a normal human. He couldn't even eat anything these days without throwing up. His eyes have lost their real colour, and he can't feel his inner omega anymore. It was inevitable, but still, it's not less scary when you face it. The room filled with silence for a few minutes, with Jimin just silently sniffling and the Omega just staring down, not speaking a word.
