Turtle POV

Valentines Day was tomorrow. Normally, Turte wouldn't care, but this time, Sunny being Sunny, had decided to host a dance for the dragonets. Qibli had decided to go with Winter and Moon had unfortunately gone to the rainforest to visit because her mom was sick.

Turtle really wanted to go with Kinkajou, but he didn't have the courage to ask her. "I CAN'T ASK KINKAJOU TO THE DANCE!!!" "Uhhh, Of course you can!" Said someone from the entrance of his cave. Turtle whirled around to see Qibli with a huge grin on his face. Turtle blushed. If Qibli knew, then the whole school would know soon. Qibli smiled. "Hey! I got an idea!" Qibli grinned.

Oh no... This can't possibly end well...

"I can ask her FOR you!" he smiled. "Oh," said Turtle, "that's actually not a bad idea," he said smiling slightly back at Qibli. Then Qibli spun around and headed out of Turtle's cave, gesturing for him to follow him. Turtle reluctantly followed, his talonsteps heavy on the stone ground.

Qibli walked confidently to Moon and Kinkajou's cave, and strutted in looking at Turtle who hid behind a wall to avoid being seen. Kinkajou cheerfully looked at Qibli.

"Hey Qibli! What'cha doin' here???" she asked. "Hi, Kink. I was just wondering, are you going to the dance with anyone yet?" said Qibli. Kinkajou sighed. "No one has asked me yet, but I really wanna go with Turtle," Kinkajou said sadly, her scales turning a dull pink.

From his view outside the cave, Turtles eyes widened. He saw Qibli looking back at him with a huge, smug smile on his snout. Turtle edged towards his own cave when Qibli walked towards him and dragged him back to Kinkajou's cave.

Turtle closed his eyes and braced for impact, but then felt scales against him in a tight hug.

He slowly opened his eyes to see Kinkajou giving him a tight hug. He leaned into the hug, and felt like he was filled with rainbow unicorn vomit. He felt like he was on fire. Turtle pulled away and stared into Kinkajou's eyes, she was a bright pink with spots of yellow. 

He glanced at Qibli, who nodded and mouthed with a serious face, "It's for the best." Turtle smiled timidly and asked Kinkajou, "Kinkajou of the RainWings, will you go to the Valentines Day Dance with me?"

He saw Kinkajou lean closer until her snout was touching his ear. "Yes," she whispered. Turtle smiled hugged her again. "Thank you," he smiled.

Turtle decided to stay with Kinkajou for the rest of the evening and they even went star gazing together at night.
