Hell. That was all that I could describe my life as, each and every day was a struggle, whether that be the weight of a by gone day. Or the new tons added on my body from the next. I should probably start from the beginning, right? Well, here ya go.
At first, all humans were equal. Men and women, African, Chinese, European. Didn't matter, the world had finally put down their arms and began to work together. Yet, something had different plans. The first quirk developed, a baby girl releasing a blinding glow from her body. Everyone was excited, or horrified -its amazing how close they are. The next stage of evolution, right around the corner, at least that's what was first thought.
Soon it became apparent that female's were the ones with the active 'quirk' gene. And the few males that did have it active, had incredibly weak quirks. A few examples have been, a woman with telekinesis could lift buildings and cars with little to no effort. But a man's telekinesis barely allowed him to lift a pencil. That was the power gap, and soon it gave rise to the most infamous villains in history. All For One, Kessler, Rowes of Power, and many more. All female. The rumours of their powers spread like wild fire, supposedly AFO could steal and give quirks, Kessler had an insanely powerful electricity quirk and ROP could copy quirks indefinitely, just through physical touch.
To combat these villains, hero's were born. Armed with nothing but the quirks to their name and the clothes on their back, they fought, at first unsuccessfully. Loosing hundreds just on the first fight, but as they began to grow, adapt, and coordinate, they began to take the world back. And eventually, held their arms high in victory.
Now that the semi-peace had been established, the female's finally turned their attention to their male counterparts. Males became less and less common, seen as nothing more than statistics. And soon became commodities, and those with even the slightest quirk? Well let's just say they were gone a little while after these values came in.
That's how the worlds been, for the past fifty years. Thankfully the villains hadn't caused too much damage, relatively speaking, and the world was rebuilt. But males are now nothing but toys, worse than the quirkless female's, and when they were legal...they'd be forced to have a harem. Or if they didn't want that would be a breeding horse, made to be milked and impregnate the women of the world.
My train of thought was soon disrupted with a blow to the ribs, reminding me of what was happening. Apparently I had angered an ash blond by just breathing, and she began to wail on me, of course the teachers were just watching. They only stepped in when I began to tango with death, and just as he was about to dip me to the underworld.
"Bakugo, that's enough." A teacher walked over an stated, knowing that if I was gone, I wasn't worth nothin. Bakugo clicked her tongue and finally relented, leaving my battered body on the playground floor as she began to yell something sexist. The teacher yanked me to my feet and pushed me toward the building, my legs just about ready to give out on me already, and my sides howling in agony. "Get yourself to the office and get patched up, I expect you to be in my lesson." She hissed at me.
I hold my ribs, trying to apply pressure and keep the pain to a minimum, but cracked ribs have a funny way of ignoring that and ripping into you. I barely kept my footing, limping toward the building and pushing open the door, an all too familiar smell entering my nose and forcing me onward. I spaced out as I walked, trying to find anything to easy the pain, focusing on the tiny minute things that another may ignore.
Like the fact the windows were cracked at every 3 intervals. 'Weird coincidence.' I winced to myself, continuing to pick out details. Lockers were often scratched or indented, 'my' handiwork. Of course I was treated worse than others, not only was I a male, but also was more on the weaker side. Pair that with my lack of a quirk, and I was prime hate material.
