"You look awful" my friend Mason commented.

"Thanks Mace, any girl would love to hear that" My voice dripped of sarcasm as I spoke. Sam slapped his head hard as he mumbled a quick apology.

I wouldn't blame him though, he's right. Ever since I got to school today, I've heard about three different versions of why Seb and I broke up,  each one crazier than the last. What can I say, word goes around fast.

One even said that I caught Seb blowing another guy in the boys bathroom.
Like what the heck was I supposed to be doing in the boys bathroom when I  walked in on them.
And people actually believe it and they are following up the stories like their lives depends on it.

It's pretty frustrating.

"But on a more serious note babe, if I get my hands on that jerk wad, he's gonna wish he never crawled out of his mother's....... " He let out an exasperated sigh and I knew he was trying to calm himself down.
"Why didn't you tell me yesterday, I would've come over "

"That's exactly why I didn't tell you, you would've missed soccer practice. I can't have you missing practice because of me" I said.

"I don't mind one bit, you mean a lot more to me than soccer practice. I really really hate Seb for what he did to you, I mean I hated him before, but now I loathe him, I despise him, I abhor him and everything about him"

Mason has always been a little protective of me. Okay a lot protective of me. He once pushed a guy into a swimming pool for saying I looked sexy in my bikini. It was the shallow end so thankfully he didn't drown.

"Thanks a lot Mace, but I'm fine, I don't want anything to do with that cheater"

"Speak of the devil" Sam muttered and I looked up. The moment our eyes locked, I averted my eyes unable to hold my gaze with the pair of blue eyes I was once captivated with. Even though I'd preferred him to have grey eyes, his blue ones still captivated me.

"Hey, Sam, kitty, Isa....." Seb said casually. "O'Connor" he said Mason's name spitefully.

"That's Isabella to you, and Katherine and Samantha " Sam seethed.

"Where's Trisha and Mandy, they... "

"None of your god-damned business O'Niel" Mason spat.

"Wasn't talking to you O'Connor "Seb shot back.

"Hey, don't talk to him like that" I defended my best friend. When Seb looked at me, an emotion I couldn't quite decipher flashed through his eyes but it was gone as quick as it came.

"Isa, I really need to talk to you"
He pleaded.

"Oh yeah, 'bout what" I said sarcastically and he rolled his eyes at my childishness.

"How about I pick you up after school" I stared into his eyes and he looked really remorseful and guilty. Either he was really good at faking emotions or I'm really bad at reading emotions or he was truly sorry. Either way I decided to hear him out, I'd have a huge weight on my chest if I walked away from this relationship without hearing him out.

"Sure" I replied before I changed my mind.

"What??? You're really gonna let this asshole in your house?" Sam asked incredulously and if it were another time I'd ask her for a dollar for using the a-word.

"After what he did to you" Mason finished for her, clearly pissed.

"Relax Mace, we're just gonna talk, we're not getting back together or anything, don't you trust me?" I said

"Of course I trust you, it's him I don't trust"

"I'll be fine, I'm a big girl now, besides I just wanna talk and get closure. For my sanity" I reassured him.
