Aiyana put her coat down as she invited him inside. Her house was cold, even more so when she turned the white lights on. It made haku shiver. “How could a woman live in such a sad place?” Aiyana thought it was a place she could take pride in, it shows her hard work, the interior of it all looked so expensive, and indeed it was. But for a man with a soft heart, a man who sees a home as family, he pitied her.

“Make yourself at home, Haku. I’ll grab something light for us to drink.” She smiled, pointing at the couch as she turned on the fire with a remote control. “Woah, uh yeah! I’ll wait for you here.”

Haku was on his phone when she walked back in, “I don’t know what you like, and well, you can’t go wrong with chardonnay..” She held a bottle upright, holding two wine glasses on the other hand. Haku put his phone back in his pocket, smiling warmly as he did throughout the night. “Come, sit.” He patted the spot beside him.

A few giggles, stories here and there, the air got comfier and comfier until Haku decided to ask “You’ve been leaning closer and closer,” He opened his arms, “Do you wanna cuddle?” Aiyana smiled widely, a toothy smile if you ask me. And for a moment, Haku felt time pause. All he saw and thought about was her.

Aiyana slowly melted from his arms, to his lap. Rubbing her eyes, she laughed more at his jokes, a sigh escaping her lips as she fell more and more into slumber. “I’ve.. never felt this way before, haku. Thank you for tonight.” She mumbled. He patted her head gently, on the other hand massaging her arms as softly as he could. “You can rest, I’m not going anywhere. Sleep tight, yana.”  He let out a deep breath as he slowly felt sleepy as well, aiyana, now hugging his arm.

Haku’s eyes slowly closed, lips forming a curve as he felt a small kiss from her lips on his hand.
