My head hurts. I couldn't sleep the whole night, had been crying..I mean all of us cried naa. "Tell me I'm dreaming and wake me up" was the first thing I said to my best friend post match.
I started watching cricket in 2019. It was the 12th season of IPL. And I remember saying "Damn I love this man" when Rohit was on the crease. I loved him then and I friggin love him so much now. All the players are my 'dil ke tukde' but Ro, for me my hitman is everything to me. Seeing him cry, broke me today. Seeing my boys like that broke me today. They had worked so hard. It hurts so much. They deserve the world.
I saw people on social media platforms criticising the boys and it makes me more sad. Jitna bhi karo, it's never enough.
Virat's 50th century, Rohit's highest runs as a captain, Shreyas and KL's smashing forms, Our terrific trio of fast bowlers, the spin kings Kul-Ja and our Shubman & Ishan's world cup debut, it was gold fucking pure gold. The boys had a fantastic season, mostly everybody was in their peak levels. They dominated this world cup and I'm super super proud of them. bleeding blue forever 💙
