"One last box!" I explained as my fair skinned cheeks curled upward into a cheerful smile. It had been a whole two mouths, sense I've moved here with my mother and father. I have to admit, it felt strange not having my older sister here but I know she and her fiancé are happy in their new home such as I am here.

Giving a sigh, I placed the last of my clothing upon a hanger as the last box was filled with cloths that desperately needed to be hung. I couldn't believe my first day of high school was tomorrow, I was always the one to get nervous by first days and this being a new school didn't help.

As I hung some more of the cloths in the box, a pair of foot steps could be heard from the hall way as I just suspected it to be my mom coming to check on me. Turning around to my surprise no one was there, raising my eye brow in question, my lips parted to speak.

"Mom?" I questioned as I heard my voice disappear along in the empty house. Walking over to the edge of my door, I peaked into the hall way as nothing was there. Before going back to what I was doing, I heard my black lab begin to bark loud as the scratching of her claws ran across the hard wood flooring down stairs, loud foot steps also being heard as adrenaline filled threw my veins at the thought of someone getting into my house. Running over to my closet, my hand grasped my old softball bat as I ran down the stairs ready to attack whoever was bellow.

"Daisy! What's wrong!" I yelled as I held the bat up, stoping dead in my tracks I spotted my black lab as she was sitting steadily, her eyes watching intently at the corner of my living room.

Giving a sigh of relief, my bat was lowered as my shoulders slumped from the amount of stress I was forced upon them.

"God damn Daisy, don't scare me like that!" I said as I turned on my heels and walked my way back up to my room, she gave a whimper as she cautiously stood up and jumped upon the black leather couch.

Feeling a cold gust of wind run past my shoulder, I gave a small shiver as my arms rubbed them to stay warm.

'Did it just get cold in here?' I thought as I walked into my room and finished off the last box, my form giving a satisfied look.

"I'm finally done!" I said as I lunged upon my queen sized bed, my arms being sprawled out as my stupid grin was being shown. 'It's so nice'

That was until I heard the all too familiar door bell along with the obnoxious bark that came from known the less Daisy. Heaving myself up form the comfy bed, I walked down stairs as my voice yelled a simple "coming".

Twisting the metallic door nob I shushed my big moose as she saw the man through the crack in the door, her whimper being admitted as she ran off and up the stairs. That was weird. She loves people.

Opening up the door I gave a bright smile towards the boy who stood before me. He looking about maybe a year older as his light brunette hair laid loosely as it framed his smooth facial features. I instantly found him attractive just by looking at him but to all I know he could be some rapist.

"Hello, can I help you?" I asked as my white hair laid effortlessly upon my shoulders as he returned the smile.

"Ya, I'm a little knew and wanted to get to know some of the neighbors" he spoke as his tall form held himself nicely. He wore black boots, boot cut dark navy jeans and a dark blue hoodie. My smile widened as I held the door further open for him to come in.

"Sure, come right in, I'm Lemi"

I shut the door as I watched him walk in, his steps being light as he turned towards me shutting the door.

"Well it's a pleasure to meet you Lemi, I'm Koda" he said as he kept his hands in his pockets, his icy blue eyes looked around as he looked at a picture frame of me when I was five with my family, my sister being eight at the time when we lived in Florida.

"It's a pleasure to meet you also, and ya, that's my family, the photos a little out dated" I gave a small laugh as I walked over and looked up at him.

"Do you go to the local high school?" I questioned as his icy blue orbs looked into my Hazel ones.

"I guess you can say that, I mean, I am the age right?" She said as his voice was in a soft chuckle before he looked back over to the picture once more.

"You're beautiful you know?" He muttered as my cheeks held a light amount of blush. 'I can't believe this cute guy is saying I'm pretty. I must be asleep.' I thought as he turned to me and waved a hand until his form shuddered as he stuffed his hand back in his hoodie pocket.

Koda POV.

I can't believe she almost saw.

I mean it is the thing I've been trying to hide right?

The thing that makes me not alive.
Ha! I haven't felt that sense 2007.
Listen to me. I'm trying to come back. It's my own fault that I've left anyway.

I mentally shook my head as I looked down towards the white haired female I knew as Lemi. The new light to my boring existence. I mean ever sense I've watched her two months ago, I couldn't stop looking at her. She's perfection. God times like this makes me wish I was alive.

"Thank you" She spoke as her blush darkened as she smiled towards me, that award winning smile being something I could stare at for hours.

"No problem, i don't lie about things I like" I spoke as a giggling of keys could be heard at the front door.

Shit.

Lemi POV.

Turning my head towards the door, I watched as my blonde haired mother walked into the room, her arm carrying her purse as she shut the door and smiled at me.

"Hey Lemi, how was your day?" She spoke as she sat her bag down on the couch and walked into the kitchen.

"Hey mom, I want you to meet Koda" I said as I mentioned my hand over to him, my mom frowned as she looked up at me.

"Who honey?"

Giving a small laugh I turned my head over to where he was to see no one there. My heart stopped.

"Honey, I think you need to get some rest, where's day?" She spoke as she continued doing as she was like my weird gesture never happened.

"O-Oh she's up stairs." A stutter could be heard as I walked up the stairs and into my room. My big moose laying upon my bed as she wagged her tail to seeing me.

I knew she saw him.

I saw him.

I know I did.

I'm not crazy.

I'm not crazy.

I promise.
