The next morning, Shen Yuxing was awoken by the early sunrise hitting her face. She groaned quietly, rubbing at her eyes in an attempt to dispel her grogginess. She then felt the leg slung over hers from one side and the hot breath on her neck from the other. Slowly untangling herself from the mess of limbs, she'd tried her best not to wake Zihan while pushing his leg off her and moving Qingling onto the mattress instead of her chest. Feeling around for her phone, she found she was sitting on it and fished it out from beneath her.
It's barely past seven...
With a stretch and a yawn, her gaze fell onto the other half of the mess on the ground; the other mess being Mingsheng, Lihua, and Huiying tangled up in a similar state as she was on the ground.
The events of last night slowly started coming back to her. The six of them had stayed up late playing board games, card games, you name it. Yuxing was so tired from her practice session yesterday that she was completely knocked out. The longer she sat there motionless, the more she could taste the dryness of her morning breath, her hair stuck to her neck, and the uncomfortable twists of the clothes she wore. Eventually, she was done zoning out, and gently got out of the bed, pocketing her cell and leaving Qingling and Zihan to catch a few more Z's. She was careful not to step on any of her friends' legs as she made her way over to Zihan's dorm bathroom where she splashed some cool water on her face.
She was in the middle of combing her fingers through her hair so she'd look at least somewhat presentable when she heard shuffling from the main room of the dorm.
"Yuxing?" came a quiet voice, raspy with sleep.
"Mhm? Come in," she hummed in response, just as a knock sounded on the other side of the bathroom door which creaked open a moment later.
"What are you doing up so early?" Zihan said, a few pitches lower than usual due to having just woken up, as he leaned against the door frame.
"I fell asleep last night without showering and I feel gross," Yuxing responded, tying her hair into a sleek ponytail with a few loose strands in the front.
Zihan nodded, sleepy eyes fixed on Yuxing's reflection in the mirror, "Oh yeah, I guess you did practise for a long time yesterday. You should go back to your room and wash up properly first, I'll drop off your bag and other stuff for you later."
"Really? That'd be great," Yuxing sent him a smile, turning to head out the doorway which was still blocked by Zihan.
"Excuse me—"
"Oh—"
Zihan and Yuxing do a little shuffle as every time Yuxing moves to one side of the doorway, Zihan also moves in that same direction. This repeated a few times until Zihan chuckled softly and grasped onto Yuxing's shoulders, spinning them around so he was in the washroom and Yuxing was in the main room now.
"Pfft, I'll get going, then," Yuxing said, eyes crinkling into half moons.
"Mhm, see you."
Yuxing quickly put on her slippers and then stepped out into the hall, only to bump into the world's biggest eyesore.
"What the fuck are you doing here?" Wang Chengrui snapped at her. He was clad in track pants and a windbreaker, seeming to be on his way out for a run.
"I live in this dorm, too, you know," she scowled. It was too early to deal with this.
