{I hope you got my message. You have until 12 am to finish this puzzle. -NR}
I sigh of relief. But then I realise. 12 am. It's 10 pm. I only have two hours to finish the puzzle. I walk out of my room making sure to close my door and then walk back to the main area where everyone is. Everyone looked at me but went back to talking. Watson walked over to me and asked,"Was it her?". I nod. Watson smiles lightly and goes back to talking with everyone. After twenty minutes everyone starts to leave and finally I can go back to my work. I go back to my room and grab my stuff then put it on the table. I open the dictionary sit down and start writing on the paper. After at least an hour I finally finished. I lifted up the paper and read what I wrote.
Welcome to the game. If you can solve all my puzzles you will save London. This box has the key to my next clue. There is a number combination on the bottom of the box. Your hint is: Our memories. Good luck. -NR.
"I knew it." I say. She was the one who did whatever the news was talking about. Okay. I get up and grab the box. I look at the bottom. Yep. A number combination. I sit down. Our memories. If it's a number combination it's probably a date. I think. The day we first met. I try that combination. No. The day I put her in prison? Nope. I keep staring at the code. Wait. Could it be the day she first texted me? I type in the date. It unlocks. I did it. I actually did it. I look at what's in the box. A little key. I check the time. 11:30. I quickly get up and rush to my room. I open the drawer and pull out the phone. I write a message and send it.
{I completed your first game Nancy.}
I breathe a sigh of relief. I did it. I'm done. It's over for today. She replied.
{Congrats. I'll send you your next challenge tomorrow. -NR}
I lay down on my bed. How can I sleep tonight? I stare at the ceiling. I get up and walk out of my room. I look around. Watson's not here. He must have gone to bed. I hold my breath and peak over Watson's door. Yep. Definitely asleep. I quietly closed his door. If shes back I have to make sure she doesn't take him again. I walk over to my drawer. I take out the package then I open the package and take out the bottle.My sleeping pills. I walk over to the sink bottle in my hand and take out a glass. I fill it up with water and take a pill. I take a sip of water and swallow the pill. I drink the rest of the water and put the glass in the sink. I walk over to my drawer and close the bottle. I put the bottle in the package and close it. I put the package back in the drawer and make sure its hidden. I walk back to my room and lay down on my bed. I close my eyes and try to sleep. I can't. I need to know what's going to happen. I open my eyes and turn my head to look at the phone. Should I ask? I grab the phone and open the screen with the messages. I keep staring at them. One question in my head. I type something. Its hard to keep my eyes open. The pills are working. I press send.
{What will happen if I lose?}
It was sent and she read it. Shes typing. I stare at the phone. She sent a message.
{Watch the news and you'll see. -NR}
The phone falls out of my hands and my eyes slowly close. I fall into a deep slumber. I wake up startled. The phone isn't on the bed anymore. I hold my breath and look over the edge of the bed. It's on the floor and it's broken. There's a crack on the screen. I quickly get up and lean down to pick up the phone. I grab the phone. Shit! Its broken. I can't use it anymore. I kept muttering shit while walking out of my room. I see Watson and hes watching the news. I remember her past message. Watch the news. I sit down in my chair and put the broken phone on my side table. I sigh and listen to the news.
The news man says: As you remember we have had a threat from Nancy Rodgers. We are here to tell you that the government is making progress in this mystery. The man behind the camera, he gets passed a note and his eyes go wide. He looks back at the camera. We have gotten a note from Nancy. We are told to tell the people watching that the threat is deadly. If whoever she has chosen to complete her puzzle doesn't finish it by the end of this week then we will all die. He stutters like he is terrified of something or, someone. We are all counting on this person. Please save us all.
The news turns off and it's now at the weather channel. I glance at Watson. He looks at me. "She chose you.." he mutters. I close my eyes. No. This can't be happening. I open my eyes. I have a week. I quickly get up and open the front door. A package. I knew it. I quickly grab the package and place it on the table. Watson is now beside me and hes watching me open the package. A safe. I grab the key from the other side of the table and try to open it before Watson stops me and points at the note. He doesn't speak. Just points. I pick up the note and read it.
Congratulations. You won my first game. Only two more left. Inside this safe is a number. If you can find out where this number goes you will win this game. There is also a new phone in this box. It has the same number as the last one. Your hint: The bank. Good luck. -NR
