That same night, everyone had trouble falling asleep, but eventually they managed too. Juliet couldn't. She just laid numbly in her bed at the condo, staring up at the ceiling in the dark.

Rachel had joined her when they got back, laying next to her in silence. She couldn't let her out of her sight, not again. Rachel exhaled deeply for the fifth time.

"What's wrong?" Juliet asked, not bothering to look at her. Rachel glanced over at her, the moon light allowing her to see the older girl.

"Nothing, I just..." Rachel trailed. Juliet looked over at her to await her answer. "You scared me." Rachel whispered as Juliet turned her eyes back to the ceiling.

"I know. I'm sorry." Julie mutters.

"Not your fault." Rachel claims.

"Yeah, it was." Rachel furrowed her brows, looking at the teen girl. "If I hadn't made Gar get you so we could leave, it never would've happened." Julie says. "A week ago me would've been on Daniel's ass for even thinking about going."

"Why did you then? Agree to come, I mean." Rachel asks. Julie shrugged.

"I don't know, I... There's just.." Julie trailed. "There's something about you that makes me do stupid shit like that. You're just convincing I guess." Julie confessed.

Rachel was quiet. She didn't really say anything, nor did she know what to think. Julie sighed as she sat up, fixing her pillow to change the subject.

"Go to sleep, Rachel. You'll need it." Julie told her, causing Rachel to get under the covers.

"You need it to. You have bags under your eyes." Rachel points out.

"Doesn't matter. Just try and sleep, please." There was something soft about Julie's voice. Julie could sense the clear worry coming from the teenage girl, causing her to shake her head as she turned towards Rachel, putting her hand on her cheek. "I'll be here with you, okay? Trust me, no one can hurt you if I'm around."

"Promise?" Rachel whispered. Juliet stared at her, taking a moment before nodding firmly.

"Promise. Cross my heart."

That following night, Juliet couldn't sleep. She laid there while that dream and hallucination of hers flashed through her head. She did try to sleep, but she had woken up in a cold sweat. She just knew the nightmares wouldn't leave any time soon.

She left her bed, making sure Rachel was okay before leaving her to sleep. Juliet wore her hoodie in the cold night, walking down the stairs and to the kitchen.

She bit her lip, knowing it'd be such a bad idea to disobey Dick's orders, but she couldn't care at this point. She needed to be awake more as she grabbed the coffee pot.

Julie spent the next 6 hours drinking coffee, sitting at the table. She was kind of surprised she didn't see Daniel at all that night, meaning he had actually been able to sleep. Well, good thing for him.

Her eyes were red by how tired she was, the bags under her eyes were more visible. She's at least drank 10 cups of coffee in the past 6 hours.

And well, according to studies, it shows that most teenagers need exactly 9 hours of sleep. And she's barely had one. She knew that the coffee would wake her up, and it already had. She was listening to music at this current moment.

She was leaning on the table, arms folded as she had her chin rested on her arm, eyes closed. It was the only way she could escape the real world. With music and loneliness.

While she was in the kitchen, Rachel had woken up to the sun shining through Julie's curtains as she groaned and rubbed her eye, letting her arm outstretch and fall onto Julie, but it only hit the bed.
