Chapter 14

The gentle, warm breeze blew lightly through my hair, I pushed it back and out of my face as I kept my head down and counted cracks along the pavement as I waited for Harry to speak first, he was probably still in utter shock and I couldn't blame him, finding out his bandmate has got his girlfriend's best friend pregnant, he's bound to be stunned. I watched Harry's feet stop walking and paused as he turned to me, I did the same and looked up at him, not sure what to say or how to act, I breathed out and played with my hair and bit the bullet.

''Harry, I had to tell you, I'm sorry I've dumped it on you when this is supposed to be a nice trip but what else what I supposed to do? Your my only hope, the only person who is sane.'' I breathed out again, but sounding a bit more fed up this time. ''Becky's freaking out and is going half crazy, I'm going crazy, I just need someone to reassure me that it's all going to be okay an-''.

I was cut off by Harry butting in ''Babe listen, I'm here for you, yes this is a big mess you're right but I will help you and Becky and..'' I watched as he frowned, deep in thought as he glanced over at Louis who was back at the car laughing with Zayn. '' and somehow tell Louis.'' Harry continued then looked down at me and let out a smile which brought me back to earth straight away, he rubbed my arm then pulled me in for a big, tight squeezy cuddle.

''Don't tell Louis yet Haz? for me?''

Harry looked down at me and nodded, I trusted him and knew he would keep it between us for now, he gripped my hand once again and started walking back to join the others, he leant in and whispered in my ear. ''This secret is safe with me baby.'' He finished with kissing me on forehead then running slightly after Zayn who was chasing his football around, I watched in awe for a moment as Harry and Zayn was playing around with the ball.

''Beth? Beth?! hello?'' I heard Becky's voice faintly call me from where she was sat on the grass, I turned and shook my head and smiled slightly as I walked over and perched down next to her. ''God sorry, I was miles away.'' I rubbed my face and took a bottle of water from the bag and sipped it, I felt Becky's concerned eyes on me the whole time waiting for me to fill her in. ''So, guess you told Harry?'' I heard her gulp and took a bite out of a sandwich to distract her from crying, I glanced at her and simply nodded then let out a heavy sigh. ''I did, he was shocked as expected but, fine about it I guess.'' I sipped the water again as I watched the boys play football then added ''He promised he wouldn't tell Louis yet, until you're ready.'' I looked back to Becky and she gave me a small smile ''Thanks Beth, thanks for supporting me about this, I've been so stupid.'' Becky bit down on her bottom lip and I gave her a cuddle just before she could cry, I rubbed her back and caught sight of Harry looking over at us.

''Oh bladdy hell, them guys sure know how to play footie I tell ya!'' Niall grinned and he slumped down next to me, looking all knackered and sweaty, I pushed a big bottle of water into his hand and he smiled to say thanks. He was then joined by Zayn and Liam and Haz and Lou who all perched around the picnic blanket, rehydrating theirselves and tucking into the little picnic, Harry sat opposite me and gave me a smile, pushing his hair back into a quiff as he was also sweaty - Wow.

I pulled out my phone and replied to a text from my dad telling him how things were going in Paris and all the usual parent questioning I get, I looked back up to see Harry looking back at me, his eyes looked distant and thoughtful, I gave him a big smile which got his attention, he shuffled closer and gave me a kiss before pulling me onto his lap, I wrapped my arms around him and kissed his forehead as I listened in on the group discussion, whatever the rest were talking about.

Louis chewed away on his sandwich and sat back, propped up by his arms as he panted, he looked as if he was fit for a nap but oh no, not Louis. ''So, anyone ready for second half lads?'' Louis looked from one guy to another waiting for someone to volunteer to play football with him, Zayn stood up and nodded while still chewing on his sandwich, he did the thumbs up gesture to Louis and said through a mouth full of sandwich. ''Count me in Lou.''
