It's the next day and Maddie is in her room sitting on her bed. She's thinking about what she did. She decides that she wants to be on the vampire's side, but without being a vampire. She walks to her closet and opens it. Then she takes out a happy looking outfit and puts it on. She throws the last stake she has out of her window. She didn't look if there was anyone walking there, and the stake lands in the leg of a girl who's walking home. Maddie immediately takes a step back and closes the window and the curtains.
The girl looks around confused about who threw the stake. She takes it out of her leg and walks home with a limp. Maddie is standing in her room behind the curtains and after a bit she opens them again. The girl is gone and Maddie sits down on her bed. She takes her phone from her nightstand and turns it on. She uses fingerprint to log in and she goes to contacts. She clicks on Lydia and calls her. Lydia picks up the phone and says angrily: "What do you want?"
"I'm sorry about yesterday." Maddie answers. Lydia says: "You're sorry?! Someone died. Do you really think saying sorry is gonna solve everything?" "No. But what do you want me to say then?" "Nothing", Lydia says, and she hangs up. Maddie calls her again, and again, and again, and finally Lydia picks up the phone again.
"What do you want?!" Lydia screams. Maddie is shocked, but says: "Can we please talk?" "Fine." Lydia answers. Maddie says: "I'm sorry about yesterday. I just didn't think about what it's like for vampires. The only thing I was thinking about was that they kill people. Can you forgive me? I mean, you and Allison kidnapped and killed me and Teresa, and we forgave you for that." "Yeah, we kidnapped and killed you, but you came back to life! Fay is gone forever." Lydia answers. Maddie says: "Can you please forgive me? I'm sorry and I can't undo that I killed her. And besides, I know a lot about hunters, so I could help you." "Okay. I forgive you, but only if you're gonna help us with the hunters." Lydia says. Maddie says: "Ofcourse I'll help." Lydia hangs up again.
