4: Steps.

Priya was in the hospital for 2 more days, in the visiting hours the Sood's were the one to meet her but Ram never missed a chance to see her but always maintained his distance which was killing him.

Finally Priya was discharged and went back to Sood house. She was all alone in her room when a thought hit her not a thought but a sentiment a feeling which was very new to this Priya.

She felt something was not the same like a piece of her was missing, a void in her heart. So she decided to ask,

"Sandy, am I missing something? I feel like I am forgetting something very important." she asked.

"How are you so sure it is something and not someone." Sandy countered.

"My family is with me, who would I be missing? My husband?"

"Yes! You are missing Ram..." she blurred out but stopped.

"WHAT?" Priya asked all shocked.

"She mean to say you are missing me I am your best friend or was." Ram came to Sood house just in time to save the day.

"Oh! So you were my best friend." she said thoughtfully.

They spend there time together filling up Priya with the happening, Shivina and Akshay's wedlock but carefully avoiding there condition.

At night, Priya's phone buzzed. It was Krish. He called to ask about her health, but knowing the situation he decided to introduce himself but was stopped by her saying,

"I know who you are, Krish Dixit, but how did we reconnected after so long?" she inquired.

"We crossed paths on market." it was the best he could offer at that instance.

He invited her on a friendly date the next day to which she agreed.

The next day.

Krish and Priya were sipping their coffee when Nandhani saw them and thought of a perfect opportunity to separate them permanently and for good. She clicked there photo and sent it to Ram saying,

"I am very sorry to be the one sending this to you Ram but looks like Priya had moved on. I think you should think about your future. If you ask me Vedika is not a bad option considering you do love her."

Reading that Ram's blood boiled, how could his mother say something so grosetque about the woman he love so he decided to call her,

"Mom. Firstly just listen to what I say and please not interrupt me until I complete, is that okay?" he said trying his best to maintain the cool which was very hard.

"Ok Ram." she said as by judging from his tone she had no choice.

"So firstly Priya is the woman I love, yes I loved Vedika but she dumped me for Shashi so how could you ask me to get back to her and not Priya when Priya is the one I love. Secondly Priya is suffering from Amnesia not you or me and that to due to Shivi so don't ask anything like this from me." he finish rage bubbling up inside him.

"I am so sorry Ram, I never intended to hurt you, you know that I love you, I was just trying to look out for you as your mother." she pleaded her case.

But this time Ram didn't bought her talks but decided not to say anything now but a thing which was disturbing him was why did Shivina said all those things over phone as far as he knew his Shivi was incapable of hurting anyone she love intentionally let alone Priya, she literally prayed her, so why?

He called Shivina and asked her to meet him.

"What happened Ram bhai is everything okay?" she asked concerned.

"Yes bachhe, but you tell me why did you gave a false testimony that Sood's were torturing you?" he asked.

"Actually Ram bhai....." she began to sob but continued.

"When I got to know the truth about father's death I was so hurt I just wanted to come back to Kapoor mansion but I knew those people won't let me go, they do love me as I love them but at that instance I saw them as murder's not as my family I am so sorry." now she broke down completely.

"Shushhh... it's all right, calm down, but why did you accuse them?" he asked while gently caressing her back.

"I couldn't find a way out and I didn't want to ask you that because I already knew how much broken you were to part with Pri di so I called Shubham and he gave me the idea and the rest you know." she said crying.

Ram was too stunned knowing it was his little brother's plan, due to his plotting his love forgot him, unable to find words he just wished to pull her into a tight hug.
