In the book 48 laws of power, Robert Greene points to the very first rule.
#1: Never outshine the master.
Essentially what Robert is pointing towards is the fact that you need to make sure people with more power than you feel comfortably superior. What this means is you need to surrender to them, not physically, but spirtually and emotionally accept the very note that they are more superior not because they are smarter, but because they have acheived more in their career compared to yours.
If you watch this interview you can notice three things that Dillion brooks made a critical mistake that ruined his reputation and his career forever.
1. He said Lebron is "too old, I poke bears and I don't respect until they give me 40..."
So this violates the principle. Dillion is clearly rebelling and rejecting the fact that Lebron James is the GOAT. He has a ego that was uncontained and uncontrolled.
2. Dillion brooks says it all in a serious tone
This just feels like he is copying lebron james, except he is clearly worse than leborn. He is mirroring his mannerism and exclusive arrogance.
3. Dillion brooks fashion
He wears sunglasses, acts heartless and reports are laughing because they all know he is joking and is a comedian meant for the entertainment industry rather than an athelete.
The moral of the story is this:
Make your masters appear more brilliant than they are and you will attain the heights of power.
