Surabaya Zoo (KBS) stands out as a prominent Indonesian zoo situated in Surabaya. Regarded as Southeast Asia's most extensive zoo, it boasts over 230 diverse animal species, totaling more than 2179 individuals, including rare Indonesian and global fauna.
Upon entering through the south door (one of two entrances, the other being on the north), visitors are required to purchase a ticket for IDR 15,000. This ticket grants access to nearly the entire zoo.
After obtaining your ticket, you'll encounter a map to assist in navigating the zoo. However, personally, I found the map challenging to interpret.
Moving past the south entrance, you'll be greeted by various bird species, uniquely captivating due to their distinct habitats, especially for city dwellers.
