Chapter 3

It wasn't too long before they reached what Harry assumed was the visitors center stopping in front of the door. "Shall we?" John offered, stepping out the jeep as they all got out after him walking to the door with him. When the door opened, it revealed a giant T.Rex skeleton. "How'd you get it so complete?" Harry asked, looking at it in wonder "Magic" John said simply,"reparo?" Harry asked simply "reparo, " he answered, confirming it."Didn't know that was possible," Harry said, walking up the stairs with the others. After a bit of walking, they got to a theater looking thing, and they sat down and watched some guy looking like a DNA strand appropriately named Mr. DNA. After finishing it, their seats started spinning and watched the behind the scenes "We have charms up to hide the odd bit of magic that's necessary for how we recreate the genome for each dinosaur as well as altering it to allow only females" John said as they saw some magic "given everyone is in the know about magic the charm shouldn't do anything but for those who aren't it'll look complicated, so much so they couldn't replicate what they see" he further explained "hey can we see the hatching process?" Ellie asked "yeah how do you stop this thing?" Alan asked "Well it's kind of a ride" John said as Harry rolled his eyes "just push up on the bars it's not like it needs to hold you in the car like a roller coaster" he said as they pushed up and got up walking to the door to the lab John walking behind them

They walked in going to a hatching "Wu why didn't you tell me they were hatching" John said walking over "I make sure to be at all the hatchings, so they imprint on me" John added as Harry looked at an egg that was hatching summoning some gloves putting them on in case he had to help the hatchling "come on...come on...there we go...push...push" John said to the egg as Harry watched his egg as the hatchling started pushing out the egg Harry helping get the bits of shell off its head "its a raptor" Harry breathed out "$why's it so bright$" Harry heard suddenly from the raptor "$was that you?$" Harry asked the raptor "$ yes could you cover my eyes please? too bright$" the baby raptor asked as Harry put a hand over its head "$better$" the raptor said "Well that's interesting" John said "it appears parsletounge works with any reptile" Harry said with a shrug gently picking the raptor up keeping a hand over its eyes "why the hand over the eyes?" Alan asked skeptical of the raptors "too bloody bright according to Siri" Harry explained "didn't say bloody but you get the idea" he further went "$I think I can take the lights now$" Siri said as Harry lowered his hand "$bright but standable$" Siri said as Wu reached for her "$No not going with him$" the raptor went trying to back away "$hey hey it's ok he won't take you$" Harry cooed to the raptor "what's wrong with her Harry?" John asked."She doesn't wanna go with him," He explained. "Hmm... try coming over to Dr. Grant and me, " John said as Harry walked over to them ."sisters mom and strange but kind man$," Siri said. "Sisters mom and strange but kind man" Harry translated "$do you mind if uncle John gets the blood off you?$" Harry asked the raptor "$no I'd prefer it honestly$" Siri said "she wants you to bathe her John" Harry said gently passing her to him and hand her in a chest pocket after she was clean "$comfortable and warm$" Siri said leaning against his chest "Can we see the grown raptors?" Alan asked as John nodded

Harry cooing down at Siri like she was his kid on the way down, which made since as she basically was and they got there by feeding time as they watched a cow get lifted into it "something isn't right...they're not saying anything just...screaming incoherently...as if their minds are fried" Harry said "probably from the blighters testing the fences" a male voice said walking "Everyone meet Robert Muldoon" John said "they'd learn after the first time, not enough to fry their brain, what the fuck did you do to them" Harry said his voicing getting a bit hissy "they're not that smart kid" Muldoon said "bullshit if newly hatched ones are capable of coherent thought and speech, need to be a parsletounge but still, then they're smart enough to not test multiple times now what the fuck did you do to them" Harry demanded absolutely furious "look kid I was here the one time they tested it that I saw, every other time I was told they were by their main handlers" Muldoon said "it now begs the question of who's lying, the handlers or you" Harry said calming down a little "$he's telling the truth Harry, he only saw it once...I feel it$" Siri said Harry nodding as he stood by Ellie watching the feeding the contraption the cow was lowered with demolished "well...who's hungry" John asked "$ooooooo me me$" Siri said making Harry chuckle "$we'll get you some bacon don't worry$" Harry replied down as they walked back to the visitors center for food

They arrived and ordered their food as well as bacon for Siri and discussed the park a bit. "It just seems...well, it seems like a lot could go wrong," Alan said "yeah like, what if power is lost?" Ellie said."I don't know there's a lot of money to be made, " the lawyer said."What about you, Ian?" John asked."I'm a chaotician... a lot of variables are in play, and anything could wrong, " Ian explained, leaning back."I don't believe this, Harry. What about you? surely, the blood sucking lawyer isn't the only one on my side?" John asked Harry."How much do you trust your employees? " Harry asked simply."What? I trust them, of course I do or else they wouldn't be hired, " John said."A raptor is trusting of a hunter yet not a seemingly innocent scientist? Seems fishy to me, doesn't help, I dealt with betrayal going back 12 years last school year, and I really don't wanna deal with it on my vacation" Harry said "then there's the adult raptors that someone is lying about when it comes to how their brains are fried" Harry continued "so I ask again Uncle how much do you trust your employees?" he asked again."Well...it is suspicious, I guess, but nothing conclusive and would need to wait til after the vacation is done," John said "that's all I can ask" Harry said as someone came over and whispered to John "Ah they're here" he said standing up as they all walked out with him Siri hopping in Harry's pocket with help

They walked to the main area of the visitors center when two kids' voices rang out "Grandpa" they said "kids!" John said, getting knocked down, chuckling, but Harry's eyes were on the female of the two.'There's something about her... even if she doesn't know about it, though...' Harry thought,'these are my grandchildren, Timmy, Lex. This is your far removed cousin Harry, " John said, getting up Harry, smiling and nodding at them."Uncle John...mind if I do something that'll be beneficial to Lex?" Harry asked."What is it?" John asked,"Removing the block on her magic, " Harry said."Magic? but...it's not real, right?" Lex asked as Harry pulled out his wand and conjured a flower that should be extinct, but he saw it outside, so he made it and handed it to her "Mind if I unblock your magic?" he asked, and she only nodded too shell-shocked to really get it as he tapped his wand where her heart was and unblocked it, getting angry, feeling Dumbledore's magic from the block as Lex felt something run through her "I'll teach you what I can about magic...I wonder if I could fashion you a wand on the fly..." Harry wondered idly, looking at his wand waving it in some complex patterns a wand appearing in front of Lex to take as she softly took it and felt it connect to her "its nothing good since it'll fade if dispelled but it's what wand fits you perfectly just a rough draft of it, after I'll help you get the actual one" Harry explained. She nodded before hugging him. "We have some time before the tour begins. You could start now with the more flamboyant of things that can't be done in a car, " John offered the two, nodding, heading out back to do some work "ok I'm going to try and transfer what I know of the theory so we don't have to go super into it" he said trying pushing past blocks he didn't know about breaking them the horcrux getting overwhelmed by the rush that happened from the blocks breaking and the piece assimilating into his own the knowledge of what he knows going to Lex "got it?" he asked her, getting a nod in response."ok," Harry responded as they went over the flamboyant spells Lex grasping them easily. "The last flamboyant spell is hard, probably wouldn't learn it at school, but it's useful and can be used to send messages to people and will protect you from dementors, which are literally soul sucking demons" he said "the incantation is Expecto Patronum, and it's fueled by a happy memory or happy scenario" he said "and that could change all throughout your life" he elaborated producing his own patronus though it's changed 'not surprising honestly given how much has changed' he thought as a raptor was walking around him "You look shocked but also not" Lex said "it was a stag like my dad's was but things have changed from then" Harry explained walking over behind her "we'll go at your pace ok?" he said, gently placing a hand on hers to lead her through the wand motion "ok" he said softly "now just close your eyes, think of what you want, and let it flow through you completely enveloping you" he said stepping back as Lex did the motion "Expecto Patronum" she whispered the incantation lining up with the motion as a beautiful bird like a Velociraptor as Harry smiled watching it fly around as it faded "wonderful" he said with a smile Lex smiling too "hey kids time for the tour" Ian said walking over as the nodded and walked back with him
