It was nearly midnight as we prepare to take on the Striga, when I mean prepare I mean making sure our swords were sharp and our potions were filled. Speaking of potions, while Geralt sharpened his sword, I was making more swallow and white honey, just in case. I was still in my outfit from yesterday, but my raven, black hair was up in a high ponytail so that it was up and out of my face. Taking my satchel, that I grabbed from Scout at the stables, I reach in and pull out a Drowners brain. Putting it in the grinder and began grinding the brain into a paste, trying not to puke at the smell. That was something I always hated making potions, the smell that comes out when you smash certain ingredients open, like Buckthorn. Nasty shit. Suddenly a pair of strong arms wrap themselves around my waist pulling me against a hard chest. I sigh and smiled before reaching over to grab the Dwarven spirit, which because of a big ape behind me I can't reach.
"Could you make yourself useful and hand me the Spirit?" I jested looking at him over my shoulder. To which he just hums, but doesn't grab it for me. Instead he flips me around to face him, my red eyes meeting his golden ones while his hands stay on my waist. He looks at my face, tracing every bit of detail, while I do the same. Tracing his scars on his cheek and forehead with my eyes, my fingers itching to touch them. Inhaling his scent of sage mixed with leather, with a hint of the forest. Allowing it to relax my muscles and clear my head, while he leans in burrowing his nose into my neck, breathing in my scent.
Humming as he does, until I feel a sharp prick in my neck. Geralt pulls away and looks down at me with guilt, I look down and see an empty syringe in his hand. My head began to feel dizzy, as I lost feeling in my legs, falling into Geralts arms. I look up at him with anger and betrayal.
"You.....Fucker" I spit out before my world turns black.

Opening my eyes, I squint as the morning sun shines through the cabins window. Groaning I hold my stomach, it was healing but slowly. Getting up from the straw bed I've been sleeping in for the past couple of days, as I made my way towards the kitchen. The smell of pork, eggs, and pastry fills my nose causing my mouth to water and my stomach to grumble. The table was made as if there was a special guest. Grandma Sofie was at the stove, humming a soft melody while she flips bacon on the plate and turned around. Seeing me she gives me a friendly smile as she placed the plate onto the table.
"Hello there dear, I see you are well enough to have some breakfast." She says happily she gestures to the food. I smiled before making my way towards the table and sat in the opposite of her. Tucking myself into the table, Grandma Sofie sat down as well, before bowing her head and began to pray. I sat there awkwardly as I waited for her to be done, not wanting to disturbed her. After she was done she began to make her plate, as I began to make mine. Taking a bite of the eggs, I moan at the taste of the running yoke, before stuffing my face with a bit of everything.
"Hungry deary, aren't you?" She jests making me smile at her with my mouth full. Causing her to laugh at my mess. Swallowing my mouthful of deliciousness, I grab the pitcher water and poured myself a cup. Lifting it up to my lips allowing it to wash down the food I just ate.
"I swear, I was raised better than this. Its just, I haven't had a proper meal in ages." I said before taking another bite of bacon. She laughs as she ate.
"It's not a problem, my dear. In fact it reminds me of my son when he was younger. He would always run off towards the woods and play with the other children in the village. When it was dusk, he would return home and stuff his face as if he hadn't eaten for days." She chuckles remembering those days.
"Where is your son now? If I may ask?" She sighs as she slices into her ham, thinking back on the memory.
"He moved to Novigrad after meeting his wife at a brothel, though that was many years ago, and I haven't seen him since." She explains making my gaze soften.
