Hu Xian wiped away a tear as he looked at his mother, still unable to comprehend the immense changes she had undergone.

The queen, once tall, beautiful, and with black hair, transformed into a vulnerable elder lady with silver hair and delicate wrinkles.

The memories of once a vibrant and warm queen of the Heavenly Capital now sat chained, bearing the weight of regret.

"I'm sorry, I am not fit to be a mother. I said things that left scars in your heart. I don't deserve you at all," Zhe Tian said with guilt and disappointment.

"No, I should be the one to apologize. I haven't been a perfect son all along. I've played around and hurt feelings," Hu Xian said, his voice carrying the weight of regret as he knelt on the floor in front of his mother, even though the idea of him being a player is only half true.

He recalled a time when his mother's kindness was renowned among the immortals, creating an atmosphere of warmth that now felt like a distant, cherished past.

Unexpectedly, she had become consumed by darkness, transforming from the once radiant to a vicious queen.

The stark contrast between her past and present self-weighed heavily on Hu Xian's heart.

He remembered the stories she used to tell him, the lessons of compassion and empathy hoping to shape his understanding of the world.

Those were the times when Hu Xian did not take her words seriously.

Zhe Tian, his mother, gazed at him with sorrowful eyes, "Do not blame yourself, my son. I made choices that led us to this point."

Queen Zhe Tian's deepest desire was to secure the best future for her son, Hu Xian, and she was willing to go to great lengths to achieve that.

However, in the pursuit of safeguarding his well-being, she inadvertently caused him pain and suffering.

"Please stand up, my child; don't be like this," Zhe Tian said, her tone a mixture of sorrow and guilt.

Hu Xian and his mom locked eyes, and a tender smile passed between them.

In that shared moment, the weight of their individual regrets seemed to momentarily lift, replaced by a glimmer of understanding and hope.
